Owning a house is overrated. You have to fix things or pay to fix things or usually both.

Well a Wood house lasts 100 years on average before needing any type of major repair. Granted, some things do fuck up, but considering it's one the highest rated credit items, biggest investment you'll ever make, and most people buy a new house - bigger - every 5 to 10 years... I wouldn't think It's overrated. Most people who like living in Apartments without the yard buy Condo's.

Plus having your own studio and garage is pretty awesome. Not to mention owning your own land to do Man things.

Don't get me wrong, I love my place, but the bills get old sometimes. And though we are lucky enough to not have state income tax in NH, the property taxes in some of the more tax & spend liberal towns (like mine) can be pretty depressing.

yeah owning a house is awesome even with it being old and the expenses that come with it. I can dwell in my basement with gusto.

Condo's or Houses, your choice, but being in your mid 40s and not owning one is a huge #ragret

My great grandfather left my Mom millions, I just stayed in their house (second and third floor plus basement space) for 14 years and covered the taxes and utilities and repairs, glad I am moving to my own apartment soon, fuck living in a family house.
