CANNIBAL CORPSE update from Paul:
"The tour is going great. This has definitely been one of the best tours we've ever done. The attendance has been through the roof. We are noticing a lot of new fans at the shows, a lot of kids coming up to us and telling us how they just heard about us. We couldn't be happier. The fans love the CD and DVD, and have been giving us a great response. We've got a couple more shows on this tour, and then we will head home and relax for a couple weeks before heading off on a European tour."

UNEARTH update from the band:
This is a message for everyone in the UK and Europe. We are coming for one show. Yeah, one. June 19 at the Barfly in London, UK. We will be back in the UK and Europe in the Fall at some point, but for now we will be doing one overseas gig this Spring, so come on out and enjoy the show.

KING'S X Update from Doug:
"Hey everyone... dUg here... About time huh? Well, in the past few months we all have been working hard getting stuff done, as usual we are way behind because of things we cannot control.

Jerry and Ty finished Jerry's CD! I love it!! haha! It made me jealous and proud at the same time... and every insecurity that I have as a song writer... it was a good thing...its hard to get inspired these days for me and Jerry's CD has inspired me. Ty had such a fun time and learning time producing Jerry. I think Ty is an awesome producer. Ty and I both were encouraged to get our stuff done (jelly jam / PH). I think Ty has finished mixing jelly jam, now he's mastering my solo CD...

Speaking of mastering. We have been inquiring to the powers that be to put out a re-mastered box set of the first 4 KX CD's. It's still in the idea stage right now. Music politics!!! It's amazing that in this age that we have to make art and business coincide with each other. Two things that are so the opposite.

I heard a couple tracks from Jelly Jam (3)...all I can say is your gonna love it!!! Supershine is hanging waiting for me to get all the KX done. And Jeff Ament and I still have to finish our project but our schedules just haven't been able to connect yet. Maybe after the KX CD...We have 8 songs done. I hope to get on with my book also (the history of rock n roll from my life's perspective). This will be easy I hope. Just talk on a cassette, and then send them to the one who is putting it all together for me, my journalist friend John Southerland. I can babble forever and have way to many stories to tell... haha! This will be a fun project and will take no time.

Next week I have an in-store in the Boston area for 3 days with Kenny Arnoff. It's been in the 70-80's here in Houston. Boston?!! Cold.... Now I get to feel what ya'll in the north have been dealing with. Haha!

I had a knee malfunction, actually both knees. Was on crutches from Christmas till a few days ago. It sucked!!! It interfered with everything in my life. It was a factor in my getting behind schedule personally. OK, enough of the pity party...

Live CD!!?? We planned to have it done last month, but like I said, were behind. Hopefully we can get the live masters mixed. But time is running out. We still have the commitment from the powers that be to video this coming up tour for the live DVD. But for sure after we get off this next tour we will get the live CD out and DVD finished and releases ASAP. Then it's a new KX CD. After doing all the solo stuff and live CD/DVD, has pumped us up to give you a great next CD. We have all learned from each other and have been challenged, inspired, and encouraged.

We all needed these past few years to find ourselves again. The outside projects were necessary for all of us personally; it's made us appreciate each other, and helped us to believe in ourselves individually, and as a band again.

Oh and the cartoon video that was supposed to happen, hasn't happened, last I heard it was almost finished a few months ago. I have tried to contact the one who is in charge but he seems to have disappeared.

It's been a rough year for everyone. 9/11 was the turning point. Seems like everyone I know is broke, over worked, and stressed since then, KX included believe it or not. Record companies are folding and so many bands are getting dropped or not getting signed. Since then paying bills have been difficult for us when we are not touring. But same as everyone else, we somehow work things out. Jerry had to get a day job till the upcoming tour. And he hates it!!! For me? All I can say is thank god for credit cards...but we know and see that the future is bright and everything works out.

Its a mess out there... we all need each other. Thanks for all your support, we have a lot of music coming your way in the future, and we are so excited about it all. Thanks for being patient and sticking with us thru thick and thin. Talk to you later and see you on tour... dUg"

THE CROWN: R.I.P.
Sad news from The Crown:

Today, the 7th of March 2004, we, the dudes of The Crown, have decided to call it quits.
I'm sure every member in the band can still come up with 10 reasons for continuing and 10 reasons for giving up, but after some heavy consideration we have decided to finally find out what life is like without playing in The Crown.

It's been a blast writing/performing together all these years, taking this band to levels that we never even knew of. Also getting to know other people in other bands on the road has been amazing. Seeing new places and getting to see and hear new, great bands has totally blown us away - we sure had our share of fun!

Too many tours gone bad due to not at all professional tour arrangements is maybe the main reason for giving up. (We do indeed have stories about tour managers/agencies and the business in general; the best ones would surely make a best-selling book...) Coming home from tours with empty pockets, equipment falling apart and having a pile of bills on the doorstep is simply "horns down". Paying the bills with tour memories and floor scores is just not possible. We do love standing on stage but we don't know much about the business part, and that's a bad combination. Trust me on that one.

The timing for giving up now is both good and bad:
Bad because Possessed 13 is an incredible album that deserves some decent touring, but I guess all professional booking agencies have their hands full as it is.
Good because we decided to not sign a new deal with Metal Blade, and now that we finally have Crowned in Terror (Crowned Unholy!!!) sounding like it was supposed to, the timing is superb.

We made 6 killer albums, we did stuff our way, and we sure as hell paid our dues.Or as we say to conclude usual setbacks: "We came, we saw and we fucked up!"

So we want to thank our fans for the support: you people made it last for 14 years! Thanks to Metal Blade, thanks to all bands that we've shared the stage with. Our apologies to the festivals that had us booked for the summer of 2004.

And last but not least: thanks to our girlfriends for putting up with us through the rehearsals, gigs, studio sessions and tours!
