this is the new dog, cori. patton hasn't had an accident since he had giardia. besides excited sprinkles that is.

the worst think is that I had moved it off the couch to the floor so that both dogs could share the couch. I thought "what would I do if the cat pissed on this bag". that and before bed, I took them on a 40 minute leashless walk before bed too.

wow... I miss not having to deal with cleaning up piss and shit! there was so much dogshit when I woke up it was unreal. cats pissed in some big rubber bozes that I told her the cats would piss in.

Do you keep the dog in a crate? Normally they will avoid shitting/pissing in the crate at all costs unless they are sick (ever had to deal with giardia? - yuck!).

One of mine puked in his crate the other night and it was bright green -- no idea what that fucker was eating.

I do crate them usually, but I blocked off the downstairs so their couldn't get down there to shit. then one of them knocked that over and the other one went down in the night and shat EVERYWHERE. he basically had a couple minutes to do it in too. I have to be more strict and always put them in the crates at night. the younger dog goes and sleeps in his create anyhow. I don't need to close him in. it's the new (older) dog that needs the crate at night.

What do you do with them during the day? I keep mine in outdoor kennels -- I built lean-to roofs over a frame w/Trex decking and put doghouses inside. I have power running out to the kennels with heated mats inside the houses and heated waterbowls -- they can stay comfortable on even the coldest days. You probably don't have the room to put in kennels where you live?
