nasty, the: they were pretty nasty. Young kids making punkhardcore. Sort of like outbreak, but not quite that chaotic. The audience went crazy for them too. Nice to see for the openner. The current moshing trend seems to stem from ice skating. Much be a canadian thing. Seeing a whole floor of people doing it makes me think im at an olympic qualifying event. it also seems no suburban showdown. everyone is just using their bassdrum right now.
pretty sure that think again is settng up.
im more excited about this show because I want to see all the bands on a real stage with lights and sounds. there are also already 6 or 7 photographers here for the second band. I hope I continue to be the tallest!
Watchfire- Mvhc represent.
I worked with one of the guys from The Bonus Army on a construction job but have yet to see them. I should really go out to more of these show.
Cool, maybe I will now that I have all ages place to book at. Hardcore at bars is usually an epic fail. Which sucks because music is better with alcohol in hand.
watchfire: the awesomeness level was kicked up here and the fans still had fun. Go figure. I didn't pay attnetion to the riffage like I usually do. But I bet it was high class. I watched a bunch of people, big people, get leveled during their set. Even more circle pits from the last band. It did take them a long time to set up which seems to be the way MVHC bands roll. In the middle of their set, dave blew his head or something. I know when they switch everything on, they were playing at 11. Loudest band yet tonight. By far.

because most of the kids aren't old enough to drink lol
bonus army, the: the best thing about the bonus army playing after the fact that they are playing is that you get the singer, bassplayer, and the singer of the carrier to be at you show. Those guys rule the school in the crowd, sing along with all the other bands, and toss unsuspecting moshers around in the pit. As usual, their set was pretty darn intense. Im not sure what they were screaming about, but man do I feel it too.
hammer bros: wow.. Their set should have been the show ender. Such a good performance and plenty of "manchester's finest" there. I stayed planted on the side of the stage and didn't move like I should have. That means I missed all the hopping action on that side of the stage. What I did see was a million and one controlled stage dives and a singer who crosses his eyes when he screams. Interesting. The audience did get yelled at for the stage dives so the band started doing it.
a bunch of people filtered out after they were done. probably off to watch the superbowel. (no not the superbowl that is a rip off of the superbowels)
I'm working on pictures. the effort brought it and had the most amount of singing along of all the bands. this was a very good show. Why haven't the effort and astronomer played shows together?
it will take me a bit cause
1) I shot way way way too many pictures since I'm used to having to be quick with these bands
2) I forgot to each for the passed 2 days and I need to gorge.
wow...i really wish i just went to this show. i hate when people bitch about current hardcore when there are such fucking awesome bands playing, and at such a great venue!
i love these bands and you should too!
