I like Obama, and I think he's a major upgrade from Bush. The man sure can give a speech.
BUT, I heard a whole lot about America's problems and how we've gotten through tough times before, and absolutely nothing about the plans to fix them.
i think that was a smart move. everyone wants to hear the tactics to solve the problems but then he'd have all of these expectations to live up to. his speech was more or less an inspirational one stating that things can get better with hard work.

gotta admit, I was worried when he screwed up the 'repeat after me' part not once, but twice. the speech helped him save face though
Yeah, hate Bush or not, that was lame. You have to give a "little respect" just for the soul purpose of being the prez I guess. Sometimes I actually felt a little bad for the redneck when he was in office.

Then again I suppose if you came in being pelted with eggs, you shouldn't expect much going out. I'm surprised no one hit "executive one" with eggs.
For all the black haters and racist here, how does it feel to be under Obama? Please, just please feel free to let us know how you feel. Suckas!
Dude don't start shit here, ur an idiot for saying that. If ur a nigga just post about how u feel about our new president, don't start shit
Why is he a idiot, where on this board, they hate blacks, jews, and middleeastern shit.. Why stop now? I know there is shit to be said sooner or later. I will start, maybe this man/Obama will get shit done and then maybe we all wont lose our jobs. Already at my work we are not getting any raises this year, due to fucken bush and the shit happening in the US.
I know in this board they talk shit about everyone. I said he's an idiot because he's starting shit, I'm on nobody's side here. One of the reasons I always told hoser he was an idiot is because he loved starting shit and being a red neck

VENEZUELA
President Hugo Chavez
"Hopefully the arrival of a new president will mark a real change in relations between the United States and the countries of the Third World, one of respect for sovereignty and the freedom of the people. But nobody here should be under any illusions. This is the North American Empire we are talking about. "
North American Empire.. haha
Iran's comment was nothing but a "we'll wait and see what he does before we say anything"
Who am I, I ask, to speak because I voted for him, but, G. W. IS NO LONGER OUR PRESIDENT. That motherfucker's helicopter should have taken him straight to the nearest super-max prison. I should have voted for my fucking cat.
Strange. they are drastically intelectually ranging. Yet they vote the same on every political issue, and have the same stance on practically everything.
We are looking at 4 more years of Bush, but at least the speaches will sound prettier.

I am still pissed that my boy lost. I don't haveto give him the benefit of the doubt because I know what he votes for and I know what he's about. He's going to increase military spending, increase the empire, support israel, destroy your dollar, and has no plans to pay the national deficit.
So wait.. what was the difference between him and bush again?
How about we pull up a copy of Mccain's voting record next to Obama's and Bushes.
I'll give a million dollars to anyone that can point out three instances where they voted differently on an important issue.
he either voted with mccain/bush, or didn't vote at all.
You dont follow politics much do you? All politicians are not good but if they do a little good for the people and the country they are better then the others.. Simple!

I don't see feeding the war machine, increasing spending, supporting Israel, and destroying our dollar as doing the country and it's people a favor.
I voted for Ron Paul in the NH primary but honestly, Americans want someone who kisses their ass and has flowery speeches. The average American knows nothing about politics.

obama hasn't done anything yet. i doubt he'll be worse than bush, but let's not put him on mt. rushmore a couple days into the job.
agreed, we shall see what he does or doesn't do...but so far he hasn't made our country look like 'retarded children' as josh martin said, which is already an improvement in my book.
I like Obama, and I think he's a major upgrade from Bush.
i think this needs to stop.
everyone keeps saying "he's better than bush" "he's a step up from W"
etc.
listen, that means nothing!
saying better than bush is like saying thinner than me..most people are
it's like saying "more comfortable than jerking off with sandpaper"
most things are.
see what i mean?
what's the matter saying something is a major upgrade or better than something else when it clearly IS?
most people are thinner than you and probably get way hotter chicks.
compared to bush, obama is like jerking off with ky jelly compared to sandpaper. you can keep the sandpaper, kthnx!
Spoken like a new school, bleeding heart dem. enjoi your bi-partisan beat off fest...
When are people going to understand that the scaffolding of the American government it self, will never let one man (a president) deviate too far from the special interests of a very small percentage of the country. Especially considering whats at stake for this country with the foreign climate, and the current financial mess.
The forefathers of this country were radical cats who had the fortitude to make actual change regardless of agenda.
Yes!
They were slave owners.
Yes they drove the indians to the near corners of their own country (i.e: trail of tears etc..BUT not the point) whats more important is that these men were establishing a government that was clearly undefined and more malleable--thereby giving them the opportunity to make legit "change."
If you equate change with something as 'mechanismal' as someone's diction, rhetoric and skin color then you may as well return to the flock.
Meet the new boss...same as the old boss.
My prediction for 09?
No foreign attacks.
No failures.
Just a suffer fest,
as was alluded to in his inaugural speech when he quoted G. Washington.

okay...I'm an idiot, you are know all of politics and capable of predicting the future.
your not an idiot you just think your smarter than most and therefore your naturally a little defensive when alternate opinions are brought up cogently.
I hope things take a turn for the better, but I'm skeptical.
And even if improvements are made, we're going to have at least a few very rough years ahead. That much was not contingent upon who was elected. Those wheels have been in motion for years.
stock up on canned food, grab a couple of guns, build an underground shelter and bring numerous fap material. good to go.
post by porphyria at Jan 22,2009 11:34am
I don't think I'm smarter than most, I just stated my opinion same as you minus the political jabs.
While I agree with your statement about our forefathers, I would think it's general knowledge that the president can only do so much and to a certain extent especially in the present. But to just imply that some degree of change will never be accomplished by any president just sounds pessimistic for the sake of being pessimistic. Like Limbaugh, hoping that Obama fails and accusing everyone of being sheep just because they show a ounce of hope for improvement, ect. I know you don't classify the fact that Obama is the first black president as legit change but I think it is, even if it's just a cosmetic one. If he were speaking 'ebonics' I'd be a bit worried. haha.
We shall see what happens, I'd hope things at least get a little better for everyone elses sake and mine.
Anyways, isn't the world suppose to end in 2012 according to the Mayans and Testament?

the weight thing was just a comparrison....it's actually pretty easy for me to get girls i am attracted to since i am (and i always have been, even when i was 19 and 200 pounds lighter) attracted to 2 types of women.
pale skinned, big tittied, well proportioned, overweight white girls
and shy asian immigrants.
almost every woman i have slept with fits into one of these two cattergories, including my current girl, who i have extremely happy with for 3 years now.
so in short, i get girls that i consider gorgeous (regardless of anyone else's opinion of them), and my sex/love life is completely irrelavant to my analogy anyways.
and we all know anything is better than bush....but obama is nothing but false hope....he's not as great as youliberal sissies all seem to think....you'll see
argh. there is no fucking way to tell. this is his SECOND day in office, no one knows whether he is going to do well or is going to fail. lets give the guy a chance. and by chance i mean 4 years. he won't be able to fix or solve anything for at least 2.

i rephrase....upper middle class......ya know, people who worked their whole life to get comfortable, but are not (and probably never will be) wealthy.
middle class will get little to no help, same with lower middle class.

yeah yeah, Ron Paul, we all know he's the dude to vote for if you want real change.
yeah, reverting to the gold standard, closing borders, no birthright citizenship, pulling the troops out of iraq, changing the tax system for the better.
giving too much to those who need to be motivated to work for themselves
not helping lower middle class/working class
putting troops that in iraq into afghanastan instead of bringing them home.
as i said, look into castro....very similar promises were made when he went into power.
post by porphyria at Jan 22,2009 1:07pm
wouldn't that be asier said than done?
sure, Ron Paul would promise all that change but according to corpus there's no way to achieve legit change since the president is a mere puppet with no grounds to actually change anything anymore.
upper middle class = $250,000/year and up? who gives a shit...
if you worked you're whole life to build you're own business to earn that much and were then told, "sorry, obama is gonna give HALF OF YOUR INCOME to people on welfare" you would give a shit mother fucker
if you make 250,000 a year, and only take home 125,000 after taxes..... you'd be gettin jipped.
taxing the wealthy (1 million post taxes in the bank with no assets unpaid for) for 50 % is absolutely justified......especially since most millionaires are just overpayed/overpraised entertainers, or genetic lottery winning estate inheritants
sure, Ron Paul would promise all that change but according to corpus there's no way to achieve legit change since the president is a mere puppet with no grounds to actually change anything anymore.

I agree somewhat but I don't see Ron Paul winning any elections anytime soon.
for his move to raise taxes on the wealthy, i agree and disagree. i agree because, well, they are rich and can afford it, but i disagree because that isn't the way this country was built. everyone has the right to make as much money as they want, and like Orgy said, someone who worked their ass off to get there shouldn't be treated differently. as much as i hate to say it, that's the way things should be treated based on the ideals of this country.
you say that now, because it's alot more than you make....but if you earned twice that much, i don't think you would be to happy with your take home.
You could also say that maybe there is someone out there that earns a million dollars a year and only gets $500,000 of it after taxes. They're still damn well off regardless!

The Wheel weaves as the Wheel wills. Everything will fall into place.
but at the same time, you'd think that people who ARE rich wouldn't mind giving a bit more to help out the economy. but that's in a world where humans aren't human.

$500,000 would be damn well off.
but $125,000
in this economy.
if you got a wife, a house, a car, and kids.
that is not well off at all......especially if you work hard to earn twice as much
If you're making $250,000 gross annually, you should be pretty damn comfortable. Just because you give up a bunch for taxes like everyone else doesn't mean that it's no longer the 'land of opportunity'. Try making that much money in Cambodia, ect. where it would be a luxury to even have a TV.
post by aril at Jan 22,2009 1:22pm
And meanwhile, sports stars are still making in excess of 20 million a year.
Rich, poor, whathaveyou, money is worthless, has no value and is no longer backed up by anything. It's a piece of paper that is meaningless. We are controlled by the Federal Reserve (I work in the fahkin' building for Christ's sake) and are falsely convinced that money really does have value. It doesn't. Our WHOLE society is based off of money. You think the really rich give two shits about the average blue collar American? Fuck no. It's the last thing on their minds. In our eyes, Money = Power and Power = control.
If you want to know the truth, understand that this whole financial situation is part of a master plan. It's not a conspiracy, it's the fucking truth.
$500,000 would be damn well off.

yeah, well then maybe people will chill down and realize they don't need a pimped Escalade and BMW, a 28 room house with 4 bathrooms in order to raise a family, especially if their priority is to raise a family.
see, this another reason i hate all this comparrison shit....just because you have it better than others, don't mean you got it great.
125,000 a year
2,403 a week
yeah, a nice check.
but after your 2,000 a month mortgage (because that is the average mortgage on a house for a family of 5), groceries, utility bills, property taxes, and the barrage of other shit parents have to pay for....yeah, maybe he wouldn't be hurtin, but still not happy about how much more he would have if the president wasn't taking half of his fucking paycheck.
especially when you consider the welfare system is flawed.
too many people who get it do not need it/deserve it
and too many people who do need/deserve it don't get it.

the basic necessities of life in today's world:
shelter, food, clothing, and knowledge.
we don't "need" : videogames,dvds,tvs,cars,cable,internet,15 guitars, alcohol, drugs, or anything else which your body doesn't require. best thing to do is to move to the wilderness and live off of the land. no money, no worries, nothing. just fresh air, animals to fap with, and food. sounds good to me.
post by porphyria at Jan 22,2009 1:43pm
yeah, and I don't necessarily think there's anything wrong with having all that stuff, that's what makes this country special because it's much easier to possess all that stuff but people can be genuinely happy without videogames, dvds, tvs, cars, ect... Which is exactly the problem. The majority of Americans take a number of things for granted, which ultimately blinds them of their necessities and goals. The apex of western civilization was reached during the Renaissance (although a little too religious for my taste) and has been on a decline since.
First the industrial revolution, and not the digital revolution. We're killing our planet, squabbling over "MONEY", arguing over what religion is right, and watching America Idol.
we're doomed, obama at least supplies hope to a large portion of our country. that's a start.
it's not a solution; there is none unless humans, as a whole, wake the fuck up.

seek out welfare recipients who make money selling drugs and or working under the table
spend time seeking out people who commit tax fraud
stop giving tax breaks to corporations

If you're making over $250K pay your taxes, shut the fuck up, and be happy you're making that much money. Your tax rate is not going to be anywhere near 50%.
People making less than that will see their taxes go down. Good. Fuck welfare for rich people. They don't need it. Trickle down economics didn't work in the 80's, its not going to work now.
The myth of the welfare queen is so overblown and a bunch of bullshit that republicans use to distract people from noticing where the lions share of their taxes are really going. (the pentagon). Bitching about that is like telling someone with a $2000 a week coke habit to save money by quitting cigarettes. Fucking pointless and the majority of people on welfare are whites in middle america.

"if you hate both candidates equally, why are you even in this thread?"
is a very retarded question.
and if you think the welfare queen is a minority population, or non existant myth, than you are 1,000 percent wrong.
ask anyone you know who works for the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance....or The Department of Public Health
i deal with these "mythical creatures" every fucking day
i shit you not, right now i am just sitting down from helping a woman who dropped out of high school, has never had a job, has six kids, four "babydaddys", and she came from a mother on welfare.
so you are completely out of line on that one buddy.
i said that people on welfare are part of the problem....that was including whites/white trash.....at what point, Josh, did i say "darkies" or "immigrants" on welfare in this thread???
although now that you mention it, there is a (bigger than most of you know) problem with illegals getting state and federally funded free shit (wic, healthcare, food stamps/ebt etc.)....and it is one of many problems.
yes, they should tax the fuck out of wealthy.
yes, they should help people who really need it.
but they also should look into not helping people that don't really need/deserve the handout, and not raise anyones taxes who has/earns under a million a year....
you all can talk that shit, because you are paycheck-to-paycheck fuckers like i am.
but i imagine, if i started my own brewery and worked my fat ass off to make it a success, i'd be angry as shit when i broke that 250k mark, and my paychecks got SMALLER!!!!!!
and i think any of you in a similar situation would be just as pissed

I am a gun nut so u know who i voted for. I definitly do not want the Assault Weapons Ban to be reinacted. So silly.
if mccain was in office, and this thread was about him, i would be here talking shit about him so
"if you hate both candidates equally, why are you even in this thread?"
is a very retarded question.
and if you think the welfare queen is a minority population, or non existant myth, than you are 1,000 percent wrong.
ask anyone you know who works for the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance....or The Department of Public Health
i deal with these "mythical creatures" every fucking day
i shit you not, right now i am just sitting down from helping a woman who dropped out of high school, has never had a job, has six kids, four "babydaddys", and she came from a mother on welfare.
so you are completely out of line on that one buddy.
I didnt say they don't exist. Obvioulsy there are people who abuse the system. I said the issue is totally overblown. Look at any piechart of where our tax dollars go. Welfare is nothing compared to the money the pentagon wastes.
And yes, they are a minority among all of the people on welfare. Most people on welfare need it and use it to get back on their feet.
Your job has skewered your outlook. Look up some actual stats instead basing your opinion on the anecdotal evidance of what you see at work everyday.
And I asked why are you in this thread because it would be nice to actually have a discussion/arguement with people who have actual opinions other than "everybody sucks". We already know that. It seems like every time someone mentions Obama, you or someone like you feel a irrepressible urge to come in remind us that Obama is not descended from Heaven and here to fix everything. Nobody here thinks that. Nobody here acts like they think that. Its annoying.

Social welfare programs are a third of our budget, and much of our military budget goes into R&D from which you benefit. You think microprocessors just occurred at random?
Well, we'll see what happens. I know Biden was an advocate for the "war" on drugs at one point in his career. Not too sure about his stance on it now. I think we'll see some major changes on that front of things in the next 4 years. At least for that green substance that millions of people smoke... I can't remember the name of it for the life of me..
Biden's stance won't matter anyway. In the immortal words of Hubert Humphrey “Anyone who thinks that the vice-president can take a position independent of the president of his administration simply has no knowledge of politics or government. You are his choice in a political marriage, and he expects your absolute loyalty.”
I'm just sayin' - if Biden feels strongly about something, he can only advise and recommend his opinion to Obama. He's not the one signing stuff, but they're more of a "support" role.

Dick Cheney.

Strange. they are drastically intelectually ranging. Yet they vote the same on every political issue, and have the same stance on practically everything.
We are looking at 4 more years of Bush, but at least the speaches will sound prettier.
I guess nikko is still mad that his boy lost. The guy has been in office one fucking day. at least give him the benefit of a doubt see what he can do and if after 4 years is the same shit then you can talk shit about him
I am still pissed that my boy lost. I don't haveto give him the benefit of the doubt because I know what he votes for and I know what he's about. He's going to increase military spending, increase the empire, support israel, destroy your dollar, and has no plans to pay the national deficit.
So wait.. what was the difference between him and bush again?
Wow so you know the President of the USA huh? I wish I knew him. How do you know he's gonna do all those things? You need to stop reading nonsense shit from racist sites. Do you have a problem with him because of his last name or because he's mulatto? just be honest
I know he will be doing these things because of what he's voted on in the senate and because of the people he's elected to his cabinet like Rahm Israel Emanuel and Dennis Ross.
I don't like the mind set that anyone who doesn't support Obama is against blacks, thinks he's a moslem terrorist, or is a die hard republican that automatically hates democrats what his supporters seem to have.
I have no problem with a black female president who wasn't even born in the country and is part of a political party i've never even heard of.
I care about there stances on the issues that I think threaten the prosperity of the country (like the war in the middle east, the support of Israel, support of the federal reserve, and no agenda to solve the national debt).
people accusing non-obama supporters of things like being racist, are just as biggoted as the views they are accusing people of having.
Obama supports the murder of women and children in gaza. He will do nothing to solve the economic collapse of the dollar or the national debt, he will put pressure on(if not invade) Iran for no reason, and I know this because of the things he and his cabinet have voted for.
and I know people will continue to support him until the first time he trips over words in a speach, or they make fun of him on the colbert report.

Yeah. Dick Cheney was vice president to President Special Needs. Big dif.

Obama's stance doesn't matter anyway. The presidency is bought by special interest groups, at least when the course deviates away from "what difficult truths should we deal with" to "what wish fulfillment can we hoodwink our voters with."

Not that I really care about who 'talks tougher' (I go more by their voting records)... but Obama's cabinet speaks about Iran in a practically psychotic way.
Where? Please show me. Because so far all you're talking about is his prospective ambassador...last I checked they don't get to decide who we go to war with.

And for the record.. when did I ever support Mccain? That would be the day.

* The Problem: Iran has sought nuclear weapons, supports militias inside Iraq and terror across the region, and its leaders threaten Israel and deny the Holocaust. But Obama and Biden believe that we have not exhausted our non-military options in confronting this threat; in many ways, we have yet to try them. That's why Obama stood up to the Bush administration's warnings of war, just like he stood up to the war in Iraq.
* Opposed Bush-Cheney Saber Rattling: Obama and Biden opposed the Kyl-Lieberman amendment, which says we should use our military presence in Iraq to counter the threat from Iran. Obama and Biden believe that it was reckless for Congress to give George Bush any justification to extend the Iraq War or to attack Iran. Obama also introduced a resolution in the Senate declaring that no act of Congress including Kyl-Lieberman gives the Bush administration authorization to attack Iran.
* Diplomacy: Obama supports tough, direct presidential diplomacy with Iran without preconditions. Now is the time to pressure Iran directly to change their troubling behavior. Obama and Biden would offer the Iranian regime a choice. If Iran abandons its nuclear program and support for terrorism, we will offer incentives like membership in the World Trade Organization, economic investments, and a move toward normal diplomatic relations. If Iran continues its troubling behavior, we will step up our economic pressure and political isolation. Seeking this kind of comprehensive settlement with Iran is our best way to make progress.
Where? Please show me. Because so far all you're talking about is his prospective ambassador...last I checked they don't get to decide who we go to war with.
No, he doesn't decide who we go to war with. But he is the Middle east polizy adviser... So let's face it, he has some influence.
anywho... find something true in this entire video.

Good post Pam! How the hell if you ignore someone completely make things better? Bush and Cheney were idiots for believing in that
"We cannot allow Iran to get a nuclear weapon. It would be a game-changer in the region. Not only would it threaten Israel, our strongest ally in the region and one of our strongest allies in the world, but it would also create a possibility of nuclear weapons falling into the hands of terrorists. So it's unacceptable, and I will do everything that's required to prevent it.
And we will never take military options off the table. And it is important that we don't provide veto power to the United Nations or anyone else in acting in our interests.
It is important, though, for us to use all the tools at our disposal to prevent the scenario where we've got to make those kinds of choices. And that's why I have consistently said that if we can work more effectively with other countries diplomatically to tighten sanctions on Iran, if we can reduce our energy consumption through alternative energy so that Iran has less money, if we can impose the kinds of sanctions that -- say, for example, Iran right now imports gasoline even though it's an oil producer because its oil infrastructure has broken down.
If we can prevent them from importing the gasoline that they need, and the refined petroleum products, that starts changing their cost benefit analysis, that starts putting the squeeze on them. Now, it is true, though, that I believe that we should have direct talks not just with our friends but also with our enemies, to deliver a tough, direct message to Iran that if you don't change your behavior, then there will be dire consequences. If you do change your behavior, then it is possible for you to re-join the community of nations.
Now, it may not work, but one of things we've learned is that when we take that approach -- whether it's in North Korea or in Iran, then we have a better chance at better outcomes. When President Bush decided we're not going to talk to Iran, we're not going to talk to North Korea, you know what happened? Iran went from zero centrifuges to develop nuclear weapons to 4,000. North Korea quadrupled its nuclear capability. We've got to try to have talks understanding that we're not taking military options off the table."
Obama wants diplomacy, not war. And if your requirements for president are doing nothing, letting Iran have nukes, and sitting with our thumb up our ass than you're out of your fucking mind. Point blank.

I hear you man, but I really think with our economy being the way it is that we need a president that didn't vote to fund the Iraq war, that doesn't give 3 billion dollars of our tax money to israel every year, and that doesn't support the creation of our money based on debt.
Taxes are too high, living standards are too low, and too many people are dieing.
War is archaic to a fault, and I am willing to say anything I need to get the message across that too many innocent people are dieing, we're spending too much money, and our economy is hurting from this.
I don't advocate war, I don't advocate preaching democracy in foreign nations that don't welcome it, and I don't think it's a good idea to give 3 billion dollars a year so that israel can destroy people that are no threat to the US. And I REALLY don't think we need to continue feeding our war machine when 85% of the American people don't support war in the middle east.
Look, I hope you guys prove me wrong. I don't want the US to invade Iran.
As it stands now, Iran is not a nuclear power. Israel is. They have nuclear weapons (which JFK wanted inspected weeks before he was killed). They use their military might to exterminate arabs.
I would suggest reasons like that are why places like iran and Iraq don't support us. (which the leaders of iran and iraq have actually been quoted saying).
I think if we didn't indirectly support things like the genocide of arab people, then we wouldn't haveto be affraid of arabs having Nuclear weapons (which it doesn't really matter if they did, how much damage do you HONESTLY think they could do to the US?)
I want Obama to live up to the expectations people have of him, but from what i've seen on his and his cabinet's voting record, we have more turmoil in front of us.
So let's hope I'm wrong. Let's hope he brings peace to Iraq, afghanistan, Palestine, Israel, and Iran.
If Obama voted against "funding the troops" he'd be crucified for hating AMURIKA. He voted against the fucking war in the first place, but we're there, and they need shit. He voted YES TWICE on the conditional bill with the withdrawal timeline, Bush fucking veto'd them both. He passed the next bill because Bushie was not budging. What the fuck do you want from him?
He also voted NO HERE on the amendment to ban timetables from bills concerning Iraq.
I saw there was a post by Bob Barker and was expecting something about always remember to have your presidents spayed or neutered.

Obama is good, he has a D next to his name...all politicians are good, none are greedy shit bags...
All I was saying is that he is my president now and I support our pres. I never agreed with him but I will refrain from judging him until after he does what he does.
well that was an entertaining read at 7:45 am. so far i have seen nothing to say that Obama is going to fuck things up, i only see evidence that he is really looking to change things positively, and understands that he can't just wave a magical presidential wand and we'll all throw our weapons into a giant foundry. one big obstacle he has to overcome is that he wants to settle things diplomatically when foreign affairs are used to be strongarmed. no one is going to believe that he is willing to talk when for 8 years Bush held his boot on the worlds throat. its like one of those MMA douchebags who walks around flexing talking about how he can kick everyone's ass, then you get into a scuffle with him at a bar, and he says he wants to sit down and discuss options to resolve the dispute over a warm cup of tea.
Well that assbadger from Pakistan did send a letter of congratulations to Obama after the election...maybe he's willing. (I have no hope that he is, for the record.)
I don't think niccolai is racist but you are. you keep posting their links every chance you get to make a point. it's 2009 conservationist...
It's 2009, which means truth is what it always has been, despite your pretense otherwise.
What are these links you're complaining about? Provide examples.
And please define "racist." It's the one insult you think will make anyone shut up when you're losing an argument, so you use it casually -- but you owe us a clear definition.
Well that assbadger from Pakistan did send a letter of congratulations to Obama after the election...maybe he's willing. (I have no hope that he is, for the record.)
I dont get it. You want war with pakistan, you support a president who spends billions of tax dollars so georgia and Israel can kill people, but defend him by saying he's not pro war?
Conservationist who's us? Your all alone buddy. Everyone is getting sick and tired of your negative bullshit, all you do is whine like a little bitch. I'm not gonna even bother posting your shit b/c you know what they are. Don't know what a racist is? Look in the mirror you inbred motherfucker
I guess nikko is still mad that his boy lost. The guy has been in office one fucking day. at least give him the benefit of a doubt see what he can do and if after 4 years is the same shit then you can talk shit about him
I gave him four years =]
-Said he'd get us out of iraq (instead invaded pakistan 3 days into presidency, Iran's next. Still in afghanistan.. and germany... and japan.. and africa.. and korea... )
-Said he would recognize the benefits medical marijuana and take a states rights approach (increased DEA presence in california. Increased war on drugs budget which only makes drugs cheaper, and more available. People with cancer can't get the medicine that stops them from throwing up. People with epilepsy can't get the medicine that prevents their seizures)
-Used the term 'humble foreign policy' (supports Israel's extermination of palestinians)
-BAILED OUT THE FUCKING BANKS
-Did nothing to prevent the real estate collapse
-STILL hasn't lifted a hilarious embargo with Cuba
-Hasn't decreased the military budget
-Your taxes went UP YOU RETARDS

I forgot he's anti net neutrality
and we don't need a trial to be detained anymore
and the federal government doesn't need search warrants anymore
and tupac is still alive.

Niccc, don't forget that congress is to blame for the tax bullshit and a lot of other problems outside the presidents power.
Also, GITMO is still open (relevant with indefinite detention)
Obama is full of dirty banker money. The banks are hedging their bets and backing Romney too. Expect mainstream media to fling full support for Romney as "the only guy that can beat Obama"
Not voting democrat or GOP this time.

Ron Paul is about to win Iowa. People don't realize that he needs only a tiny tiny amount of extra support to take the GOP ticket.
and with the GOP nomination, he won't have ANY problem crushing Obama.
post by ark at Jan 3,2012 2:03pm
Ron Paul's biggest contributor is the US Army. His foreign policy is bulletproof. There are a lot of things I don't like about the guy, but he's the only candidate that makes any sense in debates. I don't support a lot of his deregulatory policies (sorry libertarians) but I think he would make a strong president if only for his anti-interventionist and constitutional bent (hardcore opposition for patriot act, ndaa, and sopa)
For those of you who dont know, theyve moved the Iowa result location to a secret place because of "security concerns."
This means Paul wont win and itll be fudged.
They tally the votes at each caucus while voting goes on, then they send the the tallied results to an intel company (which isn't even a US company... I'm not even going to say where the company is from.. google it because you won't believe me)
People at each caucus will wait for votes to close and report them to media outlets. It will be a hard vote for Obamney to steal.
Ron Paul is so far removed from GOP orthodoxy that I doubt they would ever nominate him.
Unfortunately for them, It's the American people that nominate the president. Ron Paul winning the majority of states and NOT getting the GOP nomination is almost a godsend. People would revolt if the man that got the most votes didn't get the nomination.
I knew how Obama funded his campaign in 2008. I voted for him anyway because John McCain should have died in Hanoi. My politics tell me to write in Al Franken or Elizabeth Warren, hell I'm going to the ballot strictly to vote Scott Brown out of my statehouse. My federal vote doesn't matter but I'll probably throw it to Paul because he might have a chance to get some numbers and it would be an interesting 4 years.
post by ark at Jan 3,2012 2:30pm
Tom, go vote for your state reps. That actually matters.
The public won't support a war with Iran. It would be political suicide for Washington to do it. That just might be a tipping point. CAINT WAIT

this "Iowa" nonsense is ridiculous. so the other 49 states (well i should say 48 considering NH is politically magical for some reason) don't mean shit?

Weak president, backed by the bankers, and the absolute WORST congress the country has ever seen. It's easy to see how a politician will perform if you follow where their money comes from.

tony, the way i understand it, the caucuses are in each state, iowa and new hampshire's are the earliest ones, indicators of how the primaries will turn out in each state. that's really the only reason why they're important in the media. each state sends delegates to each political party's conventions in the summer, where the political parties choose their nominee, based on the outcome of the primaries in each state.
post by ark at Jan 3,2012 3:42pm
there's two ways to understand politics: how government actually works, and how the media tells you how it works.

'Hope' is what keeps people clinging on to religion and nationalism.
'Hope' keeps people playing the fucking lottery
Unfortunately, 'hope' doesn't change government policy.
People really need to start being proactive and researching candidates before they place votes. Not voting and then 'hoping' their candidate wasn't full of horse shit.
to his credit, obama did have a few wins with environmental policies, small business programs, education incentives for states, antitrust enforcements, national infrastructure reinvestment bank, military reforms for deployment times and DADT, somewhat effective foreign policy...blah blah blah, a lot of it no one ever talks about because it's far too complicated or small... the stuff that should have happened, like GITMO closing, complete withdrawal from middle east, increased taxes and closed loopholes for the top 1%...did not happen. obama gets credit from me as a buffer zone against the GOP death machine, but that's it. his banker support and his support of the patriot act blow it for me.

no i get the process, it's just portrayed like if they don't succeed in Iowa and NH then they are doomed. they could fail in those states and explode in the others.
then again, i don't really care, all candidates are just Kodos and Kang in disguise.

Even Santorum is looking better then Romney which is fucking AWESOME
I was originally pumped that Santorum was eating up some of the 'would be' romney voters
The more polls Santorum beats Romney in the better because Paul will have nooooooo problem beating out Santorum for a GOP ticket.
post by nicccnli at Jan 3,2012 6:51pm
Karen Santorum wrote a book about the experience: Letters to Gabriel: The True Story of Gabriel Michael Santorum.[130] In it, she writes that the couple brought the deceased infant home from the hospital and presented the dead child to their living children as "your brother Gabriel" and slept with the body overnight before returning it to the hospital.

I kind of get the feeling if Ron Paul actually wins that he will be assassinated by a government assclown.
post by Big bag of assorted nigger parts at Jan 3,2012 7:58pm
Ron Paul fucking rocks but I sincerely doubt the US would take his wildcard radical politics over the niggerloving but familar abuse they've sustained the past 4 years under Yobama. I identify more w RP than anyone else, but I don't think he'd get the votes to beat darkie. Santorum's a religion-oriented chunk of shit, Romney's a wet noodle, Gingrich loves wetbacks, Perry's a dope. RP is no bowl of cherries but everyone loves a nigger these days.

Those of you who think any candidate will save you and your country are still falling for the tricks of the wealthy
if you want real freedom find as many friends as you can, find some land, find a water source, and cut yourself off from this cancerous empire before it conscripts you in its next conquest of Gaulish territory.

Even if you own land you are still beholden to pay fucking property taxes to the state or you loose it all. Fucking slavery.

tonight I say we must move forward, not backward; upward, not forward;
and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom!
