New site? Maybe some day.

This band was so fucking good. I've been getting into a lot of discussions lately about bands like Disembodied, Heaven Shall Burn (older material), Caliban (before they turned into a KillSwitch Engage clone), Spread The Disease, Fortydaysrain, Arkangel, and a ton of other bands that were around before what we now know as "metalcore" started to take form. Brings back many memories of being 16 or 17 years old and not hearing everyone complain about what genre this is and what genre that is, what's cool to like, blah blah blah.
Unfortunately, members of Disembodied went on to form a horrid band called DevilInside that made me want to cut my ears off. Oh how the mighty have fallen.
Anyone ever heard the cover Disembodied did of "Creeping Death" and never released? I HAS. |

Don't worry, I saw that thread. I wanted to appreciate them fully. Although I am currently listening to that album. |
Listen to it always. I thought this band went on to form Martyr AD. |
They could have; I just know I saw a DevilInside CD one day that said "Featuring members of Disembodied." I was a fool and bought it. Martyr AD was pretty good on their first CD. 2nd CD sounded like dick.

This band was the heaviest shit when i was 16. Heretic is an awesome album. |
This shit still is the heaviest shit when you were 16. |

Nope, the first one was The Human Condition in Twelve Fractions. |
hmm....i'm interested in hearing that. |

From about 96-99, Disembodied really was known as the heaviest, loudest band around. Pete's old banb, Ookla the Mok, played with them in Cali in like 98'
I missed them at Safe n' Sound in '97 cuz I had to work at Canobie Lake. That's 74% of the reason I'm so bitter. |
Oh hell yea! Ookla the Mok, Fault, The Year of Our Lord, As I Bleed, Non Compos Mentis, Piecemeal, Red Tide, Lunacy, so on and so forth. |
My tattoo artist always has this shit on his iPod. I'll be listening to it all again on Saturday. I assume you may know who Nick Flanagan is, NippleViolater? |
Disembodied was so fucking crushing. "If God only knew..." is my favorite. Just perfect, really. Still bitter about missing them with Overcast and Section 8 at the Tune Inn in 97 or 98. I did miss it for Milwaulee Metalfest, though... |
