Brian and Sean, count me in as abductor in the Cav plot. I will drag his frumpy ass from his house kicking and sighing, with a trail of smoke leading back to his den of n64 and inactivity.
At which point, the beers and whiskey would be great.
The 119 Gallery was pretty sweet last time we played there, it's small only fits about 100 people but first time we played there was about 50+ so the room looked PACKED and not to mention it's about 3 miles away from our band room lol. I definately want to play there again.

Murph you know you're always included, I just figured you knew as much about this sort of Tom Foolery.
Mast: neat seeing their first non-fake show. They sound like everytime I die mixed with one of those gunge bands from the 90's when they did an experimental CD and you thought "this doesn't rock at all wtf" except for back then you probably said "bogus", but then 10 years later that experimental CD ends up being your favorite one. Also, brian dc plays his guitar like he's mad at it. I think he did that downtuning while playing thing in DC too.
Seriously an amazing show as Pires said. Magna Mater was really impressive. Astronomer put on a fucking amazing show. Voyager are heavy as fuck. And I guess Mast was oookaay. Heh.
A very good show and I was happy to see all of the bands. All of the bands had outstanding tone. If people want to know what their instruments should sound like, they need to see any one of these bands live. The venue was really cool too and I hope they can keep doing shows here, kind of like a Mass Art north.
I never heard of Magna Mater before going to this show and I was very impressed. Once they kicked in after their instrumental interlude I looked over at Mark and we had the same shit eating grin on our faces.
Mast's vocals were kind of a downer and would probably work in a band more along the lines of Every Time I Die or Blacklisted. The music is too majestic, and I think more Isis-y vocals would work better.
Astronomer was the heaviest, which is saying something because all of these bands shook the floors. Also, I'm partial to bands that throw in Hum riffs every now and then. And the Creed cover in question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcBzn7oGBeU compare to Kingsnake, lolz.

For our first show, we definitely could not have asked for better.
Magna Mater, Astronomer, and Voyager were all extremely heavy and interesting, and the sound in that place so was so thick, it was like blanket of tone.
We had some technical problems, we (I) definitely could have played better, but all in all it was a really good time and I know I speak for all four of us that we would absolutely play with any of those bands anytime.
Thanks to everyone who came out, it was well worth the 8 bucks.
p.s. Astronomer's light show is amazing and lethal. Your lights guy is so fun to watch, haha.
