In case you didn't hear...

This is bigger news than most football guys care to admit. Colvin is fast, smart, and a solid tackler. Plus he knows the Belichick system. I've been praying for the Pats to pick him back up as soon as the Texans released him. I like this move a lot. It'll be nice to remember what late season Rosevelt Colvin looks like. He hasn't been healthy enough to show it to anybody in a while.

I'm glad he's back. I have his jersey, haha.

How healthy can the guy be though when he hasn't been picked up all year? When the Pats originally signed him, he was one of, if not the single, most touted free agent.....this year he was signed by Houston, cut before the season started, and no one else took a flyer on him. I think that isn't a good sign.

Not to say I'm rooting against, of course I want him to do well, but I'm skeptical.

I'm not saying Rosie is gonna be the dominant player he used to be. I don't think Kubiak and the Texans really knew how to use him though. They wanted to use him as a DE, which I think he's a little undersized for. Plus getting a guy coming off injury to adapt to a new position like that has got to be tough. With some exceptions I think Belichick knows how to get what he wants out of players, especially ones with skill sets like Colvin.

You could be right, but I'm still skeptical. No other team thought they could use him? Seems fishy to me.

if anyone could maximize what rosie has left in the tank, it's billy b.

I loved this guy and am definitely glad to see him back... when thomas got injured i knew our pass defense would suffer and it showed. the steelers completed almost every 10 or 15 yard pass uncontested. Colvin was very good for the pass play, and combined with rodney harrison the short pass was unheard of last year. many teams are taking advantage of this... we NEED colvin
