I won't go so far as to blame a band. <br>it's not their fault when someone with a few missing genes likes their music. I mean, you'd have to have the audience of, say Halo Suffocation Machine to be selective with who you allow to like your music. Plus, I like cannae, I like seeing them in concert and they are great guys. There's an article in CMJ from april last year with Adam wearing a Backstabbers Inc tshirt. Any one who would wear a bsi shirt is cool in my book.

Yeah I noticed that guy in the cannae shirt too... he really F*&king pissed me off. And there was some other fat kid who was a real pain too. Its lame when people go in and try to beat up people in the crowd, and I also noticed some guy got kicked in the crotch. Grrr...some people at that show just totally pissed me off.

I think a vast majority of us are pretending to care about supposed hardcore ethics. The whole "hardcore family" thing is really a big joke to me. I'm a firm believer in the idea that there is no such thing as a scene. I believe in people and bands on an individual basis, and I personally believe that thats the best way to go about considering anything. I've been going to shows since I was 14 or so and the idea of scene unity used to sound great to me. Now it's 5 years later and I couldn't care less. I hear all these kids clammering about "support the scene" and it usually means "come see my shitty band", or "don't kick me in the head". I for one have just lost a whole lot of faith in people in general because of the "scene". When my band goes out and does a show I used to say to myself, gee I hope everyone loves us and has a great time. Now I'm really just in this for myself, my band and our small group of friends and supporters. In this whole discussion I've probably seemed a little insensitive to the idea of innocent kids getting hurt. But in all honesty if I turned around at the end of our set and saw nothing but a room full of dead kids I'd probably just laugh till my heart exploded. <br> <br>theres a ton of kids out there who really DO care about this music. And it makes my day when someone like that has a kind word to say to me. but those people are lost in a sea of others who are just there for appearances, or to fill some sort of lame psychological void in their life. i don't need those people, and I hope they choke. <br> <br>When I goto a show and everyone is having a good time dancing getting along no fights helping eachother out smiling and going nuts for the love of the music it is one of the greatest joys i've ever known. but those shows are few and far between, and those people are a fraction of something much larger and uglier. so i'll reserve my unity pride and respect for those who earn it, not simply those who pay a cover charge.

its seems here in ct the kids preaching about unity, and the scene are all involved in their own little clique. They like to dance, and throw their mass into the crowd, they love to start fights, and they like to chill by our cars with baseball bats. It seems the kids like that are just assholes who were cut from the football team. I've been going to shows for quite some time now, met alot of friends, and alot of assholes. I consider friends i meet through shows friends, and i dont group them all together in some fabricated sense of a "scene". The thing i hate about ct, is that all the kids i was talking about before, I had never seen at ct skatepark, or the sports palace, or shows before like last year and they refuse to admit this fact. Now on the subject of hardcore, I honestly cant stand that shit. How can people see palm mutes, and barre chords as anything more than poorley executed background noise for violent acts in the pit.

i was filming the show supporting my boys The Automata (who were encrediable that night) and I was bumped into a couple of times and nocked over and shit but it was a cool and all in fun. Bruce as far as when I have talked to him has been really cool he hits girls only "by accident" he souldn't do that but I'm not his mother. Whatever the:enclitic were crazy that night.
