this looks good..... BUT the same show is going on in the venue with the best sound in new england. The nokia theatre in NY. Planning a trip now, hit me up if you wanna be involved. And yeah, i am not exaggerating, the nokia theatre is almost like listening to a record, it's sick. And there are LCDs in the middle of the room to really see the band better. Real cool place.
Last time Kreator came around they skipped New England entirely. Went to NY to see them at B.B.Kings -- what a lame crowd. Time before that they played the Palladium Upstairs. It's a fucking shame, Destruction is playing Palladium Upstairs one month prior to this. Both shows should be at The Middle East Downstairs.

I missed Belphegor the last time they played in MA. Cum in my pants will I? I think it is so.
excited to see this. been watching recent Exodus clip on youtube like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvadt7GBJIg and it's going to be monumental. Rare to see two bands liek Kreator and Exodus share a bill together and both so great.

This was my 3rd time seeing Exodus, and the first since Rob Dukes joined the band. I've got to say, he's a great frontman. The sound at the show was terrific, and the crowd was definitely into it. IMO the setlist was perfect, at least considering the amount of time they had. There was a GIANT circle pit during The Toxic Waltz and they organized a wall of death during Strike Of The Beast.

I think I may go to this show, I think someone else said it best by saying this would have been a way better show 15 years ago. But I have never seen either band live before. Extream aggression was amazing! Who else is going, and how much to get in?
epicurean: 7:25 - they sounded a lot different now. They alsso just have a synth playing while they play instead of a dedicated player. Weird. They had a bunch of kids up front in love with them cool that it happened this early in the night.
I spent most of their set testing out and playing with my new 17-35 lens, comparing it to what my 17-55 would do in the same situation. I swear it stuck at F/16 for some reason. I have 7 days to test it out before returning it or keeping it.
warbringer: 8:05 their drummer broke his arm and the drummer for epicurean filled in. He did awesome. There was enough room on the floor that it turned into a huge circle pit. There is definitely a devide between the sit down and mosh crowd. It already looks like a lot of the seating space is gone. They sort of cut their set short cause of the drummer issue.
my big issue is hunger. kreator @ 11:05? damn starving! also my phone is fucking up.
belphegor: 8:45 - they sounded pretty good from where I was, but no anthony. They had the shortest set then I've seen them do. They also never brought out any masks.
My new used lens is sticking a bit @ 17mm and looser at 35mm.
exodus: 9:35 - they sound awesome. Granted this is the modern day exodus and not the band some of us grew up with... I mean, the new singer shaved his head! My only crticism of the band is that all the old thrash songs sound like they are off shovel headed kill machine. The drumming isn't thrashy, neither are the vocals, and you don't get that party, skate, eat pizza feeling that the older discs give you. During toxic waltz, gary came down off the stage and played guitar in front of the crowd. That ruled. do his picks have the him logo on the back? Their set was so much better than I thought it was going to be. Im glad kids still dig it cause it's mostly a young crowd.
Btw: exodus 9:35 "Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not let the sons of Israel go, just as the (AH)LORD had spoken through Moses."
belphegor: 8:45 - they sounded pretty good from where I was, but no anthony. They had the shortest set then I've seen them do. They also never brought out any masks.
My new used lens is sticking a bit @ 17mm and looser at 35mm.
Exodus fucking rule!!! One of the best sets if not the best set Ive seen from a band ever. They made even Kreator seem boring. Gary Holt is one the sickest guitar players Ive seen live along side Trey from Morbid Angel.
I am sad that I missed this. I had every intention of going untill I bagan drinking from my Flask Of Bereavement at like 4 PM. The FOB was filled with Patron and chased by like 9 Heinekins, 2 Zombies, a Suffering Bastard and a Mai Tai. I am still hung over!
heinekins? isn't that the drink that white trash stopped drinking in the 70's or early 80's? Right now, the only people who drink it are asians. The asians at my work always talk about having to get it for their BBQ.
This show killed. I was shocked at the turn out and even more shocked at the old school wardrobes. No idea the youngsters had any clue of such bands as (patches I saw): Infernal Majesty, Acid Reign, Overthrow, Disciples of Power, Morbid Saint, Toxik, Blessed Death, Meliah Rage, Holy Terror, Forced Entry, Mortal Sin, Slaughter House, Soothsayer, Ulysses Siren, Violent Force, Xentrix, Whiplash, Visitor, Virus!?!?!?! These are bands back in the day that weren't even that big. These "kids" impressed me. I guess "obscure" is in. I heard some guy at the bar yelling "I'd hate to be the person wearing a Unearth or Killswitch shirt"
anyway Kreator was incredible. I've been a fan of theirs since I was a tiny tot so this was a real treat. They sounded good. The amount of energy and pit action was awesome. None of that kung fu shit I use to see at shows. I'm old today so I gotta give credit to those kids. I didn't see a single Municipal Waste shirt, hahahaha. I'm sure there were some but...
Warbringer is ehhhhhhhhh. I don't mind them but I don't know, they get a ton of hype and I saw that singer mackin' on a dame in the audience but...something about them. there were a group of people who had their unreleased album on their iPhones at the show. I heard the guitarist saying "WTF!?!?!?!?!??!" hahahaaha.
I wanna see kreator again! Actually I wanna see SODOM!!!!!

yeah i wasn't impressed with them at all when they played with Finntroll.
Sodom is indubitably the best of the big German three live. I'd say at least 80% of their setlist is comprised of songs on or before "Better Off Dead." They actually play songs faster live than on record, instead of slowing them down as Kreator (and Celtic Frost for that matter) can't seem to refrain from doing. Sodomaniac for life!

Yea i was hanging with a couple of those guys at some point and they seemed like a bunch of geeks. Kinda glad I didnt go on this tour with Belphegor, I dont really see how they fit with the other bands.
