New site? Maybe some day.
Did you get a chance to listen to anything on the MS yet?
The only reason I ask is after talking to you in the thread yesterday Brandon and I went over the songs and realized there were a couple more ambient, orchestral things that needed to be done. If you are down for it let us know what you schedule is like. We pretty much have a month to get together a 2 song sampler, press 2,000 copies to get stuffed in the mag I just did the interview for. 1 of the songs needs a little ambient stuff at the end.
Plus it'll be cool to collaborate with someone else on this. |
yea, I have a few weeks ago.
Are you talking background keys or straightup standalone ambient tracks? Just curious - either way, I can do both. I'd be interested. |
Both, def. keys! I guess you'd have to listen to the stuff we have going on. The song Whom The Gods Would Destroy is very bathory and could use some ambient/keys at the begining and the end.
I figure brandon, you and myself could sit down listen to the whole thing and discuss from there. |
Well, I have an alright keyboard (nothing really new) that was one of the better ones circa '99. It sounds great and works fine. I know you have that home studio thing, did you have any keys there? |
yes over a few beers, no I don't have any key's here. does your board have midi? |
yes, it's does. I don't use it for that, but you CAN. I record it with direct input.
I'm not huge on MIDI because I grew up with the tracking side of music (taking .wavs and putting them in a certain descending order to create music). it was popular around '95. Midi was always in the spotlight, though. |
I only ask about the midi is because i have tons of modules that are midi triggered to get all kinds of sounds |
whatever you want, man.
you said it's only going to be a 2 song release? It shouldn't take that long. If you want, after we talk about it, give me the tracks and I'll experiment with it and stuff. |
the 2 song release is just for the magazine, we have a whole album that needs to get done. But yea we can go over it when you come by. What's your schedule like? |
usually sundays/night is my most free day.
wednesday and friday can't do much beacuse those are usually band days. but generally speaking, most nights after 8pm i'm good. |
i can't do anything this sunday because I'm going to church in the morning...
kidding, I have band practice sunday 11am-3pmish probably. but after that, if you're free.. |
Yea I am free after 6 on sun. but pretty much I am good anytime during the week, I set my own schedule. |
Dude I absolutely love both of those, Journey to Gransu being my fave. Did you ever get it released? |
thanks man.
nope, not yet |
Ok we will talk about that also... |
Your right.
