red thread: some of the girls from boston allston in an all girl punk band. The sound wasn't right for them at all and they started a bit shakey. I think through a more mixed system and with out the technical difficulties, then would have sounded just like the xray specs era punk. The vocals were leaning that way. The other photographer in the room told me after that the singer (who's name totally escapes me) told the crowd to watch out for me. That rules. Oh and there were a bunch of fireworks kicked off during their set. Which door do I kick open to get out.
crom: the drummer got hit in the face with a bottle. If that were me.. I would have said fuck this place and took off. Seeing as this was the band that I was here to see. They were awesome. The set was over way too fast. People moshed even to the more death metal parts. In the middle there was a circle pit across the entire floor. Well worth stinking of smoke afterwards.
witch hunt: these guys were awesome. I was so glad that I stayed for them. Plus, some of the girl vocals sounded like kylesa which rules. They started their set with a disclaimer not to run into them, throw bottles at them, not to be an asshole, etc... They seemed pretty annoyed when the people from the crowd spilt over into their "stage". They were really a big surprise. So good.
