I'm looking for some on-board preamps, active or otherwise, to put in one of my guitars. If any of you know any at all, what they're called would be appreciated. I'm just looking to make crazy sounds with this guitar for a project with some college friends. I mean CRAZY. Phaser, Chorus, Tremelo, Wah, Octave, ANYTHING.

I've actually got a "bullet" on-board preamp in my 7-string USA Warlock. i should look into having the guts of my tube screamer could be put in there or something. me no likey.

Ya I was actually thinking of buying a cheap pedal and just putting it inside the guitar.

what about guitars with the speaker built in?

Most definitely not.

haha how would a wah work onboard

Yeah, I've seen it. It's the wah effect more so than what a wah pedal does.

But yeah, I'm thinking of dissecting a cheap effects pedal and stuffing it in my guitar where the capacitor goes. I never ever use my tone control.

there's some guy on ebay that sells guitars with all these modifications like this. he had one that was SICK a few months ago. can't remember the user name.

I suddenly got fascinated with doing weird on-board stuff when I saw a video about the Moog Guitar.
