copremesis: much better than the other night. Especially cause the sound here was better. For what became their last song, a guest singer came out. Not sure who it was.

infected malignity: wow, they were unbelievable good. The singer's voice at the beginning was just ridiculously soulless. The other members of the band spent the whole time jumping around and putting a lot of energy into the set. Towards the end, the vocals changed up and it was much more like vader. Good stuff. The drummer had a very weird way of playing too.

Malika and Mitch got me food too. The rule. The next couple of bands are brought to you by them and the deeeelicious vegan food/cookies that will be fueling this metalhead.

Japanische Kampforspiele: germany band. They were the first dual vocals bands here on the feast. Both vocals did their separate sound and didnt step on each other's vocal toes. Sort of like how 3 inches of blood does it, but not sounding like them at all. Im pretty sure that the guy doing the lows had a pitchshifter on his vocals. They kept saying anti metalcore stuff.

engorged: this is their first time on this coast as a band since i knew who they were. I have the fuck im dead split and that does them no justice. They are so good in that 90's carcass way that all their related bands have, but not being a cheesey rip off. They are a lot more DM with no gore. During their set, people kept almost coming over the barricade. Shooting or catching was a major dilemma. The only guy i saw hit the ground was the chicken duder. the one thing that didnt happen during their set that i figured would have happened was some of the ghoul antics. but that didnt go down.

gruesome stuff relish: sort of exhumesy. Just in parts. They had a dedicated pitchshifter vocalist. I've honestly never heard them before so this was a good indoctrination.

hellnation: look at the picture of their set list. It's crazy. They had more songs on it then psycho. Unfortunately, they only got to play like 1/2 the songs on it. Also, the drummer sings. Always a cool trick.

circle of dead children: they started off slowly. As the set went on, they got better and better whipping the crowd more and more into a frenzy. im pretty sure that this was the guitarist's first show (or close to it). The entire place cleared out after their set to recover.

gadget: yeah, the sound for them was fairly terrible, but I thought their stage presence was going to be terrible. It ended up being really good. The singer spent a lot of his time in the pit with the crowd. At one point, he climbed on top of them and laid there. They kept quoting the america fuck yeah thing.

They're on Razorback Records. And before long, Obscenity Cult Records.

dead: nice goreish grind where all the members sing. That definitely mixes it up. One of the guitarists had a bunch of pedals hooked up to his mic. Ah, the gutterals guy. I thought that the drummer was the drummer of birdflesh until i saw his face.

impaled: right off the bat, flames. I was more than ready for it. You can see the flames coming out of ross's mouth. The troop of engorge/ghoul/impaled killed it again. Pretty much if you put any collaboration, collection, configuration together of these members, you will get a band that is beloved by many, sort of has a carcassy sound to it with varying degrees of gore. They guys played so damn well and the kids just loved it.

dying fetus: the drums off the start were so thick. But that was all you could hear. After a few adjustments, they got it right. For some reason they were only a 3 piece. Im starting to think that they were only a 3 piece at the middle east too, but they totally dont sound like it. Very heavy. Oh, these guys were the replacement for deranged. Not that it makes too much sense that they were... But still good set.

Infected Malignity really threw me for a loop. I bought their record "The Malignity Born From Despair" for $5 from some vendor the day before they played. I gave it a spin in my hotel room and it was fantastic. Super brutal awesome deathgrind stuff. I was super psyched for them and made sure I got there early on Sunday to catch their set.

Their set was absolutely not brutal deathgrind. It was mostly all chugga chugga and the occasional crappy In Flames riff. Not my thing. I was rather baffled.

the did a huge style change from that cd to the next one 're:bel.'

Ahhh. Makes sense. They had that disc for sale and I almost bought it before their set. I'm glad I did not do that.

and I've put everything to rest with Dwyer since he finally came through with the banner(although it was somewhat intentionally delievered late). he keeps blowing up my phone with text messages telling me how he's going to fight me and how certain people on his label hate me(all lies). call me up John-that was the only reason I had to bring this to your attention on the net, because you can't talk to me on the phone.

Well, they are self called "Train Jumpers", sort of hippies-freewill-homless kind of thing, non of them made it inside, they just hanged outside the first 2 days( i wasnt there on sunday) they seem harmless and sort of peaceful, they fought among themselves and against security and got mazed by an undercover cop, pointless to fight them but it seemed that people around werent confortable with their presence

All true. They also wanted to see Macabre, but on the 3rd day, there was more "under cover" cops there so the ruffins of the group didn't show. it was just the most peaceful ones. I didn't see them inside on the third day. I say "under cover" because the cops that were there weren't on duty. they were friends with the bouncers and were just hanging out for the most part. since they still have their police super powers, they could use them if need be.
