I was really frustrated with the Metro when every other day a crossword puzzle answer had to do with Alan Alda. I didn't know anything about the guy beyond MASH, and it always pissed me off when I couldn't get something because of it.

So I jumped ship and tried Boston Now. I open it up, and one of the first clues in the crossword is: "MASH star Alan ____"

hahahahahahahahahahaha. i read all of those magazines fairly regularly, people always leave them behind on the train. the worst one is The Improper Bostonian, its like the yuppie handbook, but there was an article about a bar that offers a drink called "The Happy Meal" which is a High Life and shot of whiskey. that was awesome.
