yup those are lawn seats. a lot of people bought those thinking they were the GA pit seats up front but they are not. if you got the tickets any day besides the first day or two thats all that was left. |

I was just informed by a friend, who attended the Tom Petty show at the Tweeter Center last week, that the lot staff will not allow cars into the lot until four (4) hours prior to the show starting. The tickets list 7pm as the show time (or at least the door time), therefore, I wouldn't try showing up any time before 3pm. Such a total bummer. |

got there at about 5. drank a bunch of beers with murph. watched big ben get completely wasted off a liter of vodka and mt. dew. saw a hummer with a seventh son spare tire cover and iron maiden logos embroided into the seats! smoked a couple bowls with an old dude who loved black sabbath more than anything in the world. lol. i wish we made friends earlier when he cooked up sausages. but oh well. went in around 7-7:30. dont really remember. watched that shitty buzzkill. oh man that was horrible. all the dudes in that band were at least in their 50s. haha. smoked a fat joint up on the lawn a few minutes before maiden. MAIDEN! i always ruin it for myself by knowing the whole set before the show but whatever it was amazing! I dont think seeing Maiden will ever get old. They played such good songs and were so tight. A couple feedback issues with the mic for Bruce but other than that the sound was flawless from where i was sitting. So the second Hallowed by thy name was over we made a fast pace walk back to the car and got out of the parking lot in about 2 minutes. got to the living room in time to see half of have heart and verse. YUMMY WAS THERE! haha. sorry bud ;) what an amazing night of music! |

This show was absolutely incredible. Rime of the Ancient Mariner was jaw dropping...the climax of that song with the big popping explosions running in time with the riff....wow. So much fun.
It's rare that vocalists get better with age but Bruce was on top of his game last night. He nailed every single note. If you listen to Live After Death, while it is incredible, he pretty much shouts his way through the entire set. He balls out sings everything now and it's quite remarkable. |

I saw this show in montreal on saturday.
lauren harris - sucked. seriously
overkill - the sound was bad. vox way too high. this bad was way better last time around.
3 inches of blood - i dont like the guitar player doing vox. the sound was just ok. the drummer didn't seem to be into it. they where much better at previous shows.
Symphony x - technically amazing but yet so boring.
Hatebreed - not sure why they played. usual songs. slayer tease.
hamerfall - i think i walked around and got food.
Mastodon - Fucking awesome. cannot believe how much weed was smoked during this set.
Type O Negative - "hey you fucking canadians" best intro ever. Fucking loud. played 45 minutes mostly from bloody kisses.
Dethklok - fun set. did they really need to play for an hour right before maiden?
Iron Maiden - should have been louder.
My first outdoor metal show in canada. I cannot believe how much weed was smoked at this show. I have been to boston hempfest maybe 9 times and this show had way more people pulling out huge bags and smoking everywhere than any hempfest ever. Also most canadians are pussies. the mosh pits where a joke and people got really mad at anyone who started dancing and bumping into people. Metal Dan would have started and international incident. |
