same here.
Just wish we had a bigger capacity place.
This will sellout, so if anyone plans on going get there early.

hey rich you weren't involved in anything that went down in fairhaven last night were you? i was a little worried that maybe you decided to do a hip hop night, that totally sucks what happened im assuming no more shows there but hopefully not.

I wasn't.
Yeah and they aren't allowing any more shows either, really sucks.
Hoping for more PAL shows.
I'm going to try and check for some dates, but they are tough to get.

toggletoggle post by joeycobra  at Apr 8,2008 3:43pm
Anyone know who's booking this? I'd like to be "that" band and see if we can hop on.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Apr 8,2008 3:58pm
Rich from Keynote Company...I don't have a link ready...he'll inevitably read this though considering he started this thread.

toggletoggle post by xanonymousx at Apr 8,2008 4:13pm
I'm going to this one in salem maybe i'll go to this one as well

toggletoggle post by joeycobra  at Apr 8,2008 4:13pm
gotcha

thanks buddy.

toggletoggle post by CMTAIB at Apr 8,2008 4:15pm
we were rejected from this show do to our br00tality.
and vanna stole all of our riffs from our album and made them scene.

Hope to see you there!

As far as other bands, as you might think, there were a lot of requests. Unfortunately I can't get anyone else in due to time constraints.
Hopefully more PAL shows though soon enough!
Also looking into some things this weekend/month so I should be doing a significant amount of shows in the summer hopefully.

yea i figured fairhaven would be shut down. that sucks. its funny because the last time we played there the security guards were busting my balls asking me if i had a gun in my backpack, i sort of laughed at them and told em it was some pedals and chords. then i got a nice lecture about how you can never be too careful. fact of the matter is they never did search my bag, i guess if your gonna be a dickhead about something you should actually do your job especially at "hip hop" night. fuckin lame. im so sick of these places having "security" guards and then when they dont do their job the venue gets shut down. either way id rather play in fall river.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Apr 9,2008 9:00am
From the news story, everything went down outside. Even if they were checking bags, this might have happened.

toggletoggle post by cav nli at Apr 9,2008 9:04am
i heard it spilled out from inside the venue

toggletoggle post by JoeyCobra  at Apr 9,2008 9:57am
so wait...what happened in Fairhaven?

toggletoggle post by Pires at Apr 9,2008 10:36am
two brothers got stabbed. one died. and some guy who was just driving by, stopped, and tried to break up the fight. he ended up getting stabbed too. so 3 people got stabbed, two are still in critical condition, and one is dead. and two people have been charged so far, but none for murder. some BS charge of lying to the police or something.

toggletoggle post by cav nli at Apr 9,2008 11:22am
and now cus of these douche bags we cant have shows at the only venue in SE Mass that kids show up to. bummah.

toggletoggle post by JoeyCobra  at Apr 9,2008 3:35pm
that is awful

It really does suck.
Even if they do allow shows there in the future again I might want to wait to let the situation settle a bit. I would think some people be hesitant on going there.

up!

toggletoggle post by That dude at Apr 14,2008 8:36am
Dour shouldn't be playing first...but hey, that's just my opinion.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Apr 14,2008 11:40am
my priorities are probably messed up but I'm fine with it because I enjoy the ability to take my time setting up.

Also we appear to be bassless. And we are the oddball band. I'm fine with it.

toggletoggle post by cav nli at Apr 14,2008 2:54pm
eh i might still try to talk to rich and see if they can switch us and always and forever, i mean i know they are semi popular but they are from NH and weve played fall river like 10 times.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Apr 14,2008 3:12pm
in the spirit of solidarity, I will agree with you

toggletoggle post by KeynoteCompany  at Apr 14,2008 5:05pm
Thing is Always and Forever is part of a tour package with Vanna so they may want to play later... even if it doesn't really make sense.
Anyways I did ask them since it's a valid point so see what they say.

toggletoggle post by cav at Apr 14,2008 5:21pm
awesome thanks dude. you know either way were cool.

Yeah they want to play second, sorry guys!
Either way it's going to be packed and I'm trying to get doors earlier so we can get more people in earlier.
Plus were going to try and have everyone on stage and just back all the amps so it will save time between sets. If we can do that we might be able to start just a bit later. See how it works out I have to talk to the janitor tonight about getting in at 5:00 or 5:30 so we can do load-in / doors earlier than they would normally be!

toggletoggle post by cav nli at Apr 15,2008 8:48am
so were actually playing on the stage for this one?

toggletoggle post by joeycobra  at Apr 15,2008 10:05am
I'm playing in VT the night before...if I'm not dead I might be at this for Dour, A&F, and Follow The Flies.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Apr 15,2008 10:14am
excellent, thanks man.

Where's Astronomer playing in Vermont?

Yeah I think everyone's going to play on stage, unless you want to play the floor? I just figure it be easier because people are going to come early and crowd the stage until Vanna comes on haha.

toggletoggle post by cav nli at Apr 15,2008 12:53pm
whatever you want to do its cool with us bud.

Good question hahaha....some VFW I think for this Fest. I can't leave work early/take any more time off now so we have to play it kind of late. I'll be beat....but I can sleep in on the 26th....wake up and head south.

toggletoggle post by SirP  at Apr 16,2008 12:38am
Hmm, this place is less than ten minutes from me and I don't get out much. I'll show some love for A&F guys.

toggletoggle post by KeynoteCompany  at Apr 22,2008 2:13am
couple more days away...
surprised at the reaction on here for this and in general.
passed out close to 200 fliers for this the past weekend too.
reminder be there early to ensure getting in, can't stress this enough based on what I've been hearing.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Apr 22,2008 2:36am
Awesome, man. I, for one, am pumped for this.

toggletoggle post by cav nli at Apr 22,2008 10:34am
i talked to my sister about this the other day. i guess half of the bristol/warren school system is going to this show. whats capacity?

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Apr 22,2008 10:44am
MSDfest '08

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Apr 22,2008 11:43pm
Early show is early.

Doors are 5:30, get there for then

We go on first at 6:30.

Live irrational ranting and cursing at "All these goddamn wires" by me for that in between hour.

Along a ton of people from Fall River, New Bedford, and Taunton too.

Well they've had 400+ in there for wrestling. They said 250, but I mean we can't exactly turn away 100's of people. We'll work something out. I believe that's 250 paid anyways. I know the Ligeia show had close to 250-300 and it wasn't tightly packed at all so there's plenty of room there.

Basically I hate to turn people away, but I definitely think I'll have to at some point. Hopefully I'll be able to get mostly everyone who shows up in though.

I might have you guys set up on the floor and then everyone else on stage. I forget how big the stage is, but I'm thinking it doesn't have room for amps for six bands.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Apr 24,2008 7:29am
We'll figure it out. Could always do the first 3 bands backline then after the 3rd band the last three backline thing. Either way.

tomorrow everyone, don't sleep on this show!
