I only have one album, "Visions From The Spiral Generator". I like their style of Viking/Folk Metal.

Everything leading up to that sounds nothing like that - the older stuff is less proggy, more... ummm... Viking-y. Which I like as well. Till Fjalls is definitely my pick.

i'll also add that i like some of the stuff on spiral generator, but the older stuff crushes it. the newest one, solens roter, is a nice return to form.

old vintersorg is better. more emotion.

Otyg is a swell band.

Otyg did, I feel, the definitive Holy Diver cover, to which all others shall be compared and subsequently fall short.

I enjoy vintersorg everynow and then, i like his work with borknagar better than vintersorg or otyg though

Apparently my Swedish friend read the lyrics to this album and laughed at what a mental infant Vintersorg is. I guess it's cheesy shit, content wise

but I enjoy all the stuff I've heard.

yeah, i don't really care what vintersorg's lyrics are about. i don't know swedish, so it doesn't really matter to me. he could be singing about butt sex or how much he hates me personally and i wouldn't give a shit.
