SKINLESS Confirm Drummer's Departure, Announce Temporary Replacement - Jan. 19, 2004

New York-based death metallers SKINLESS have confirmed the departure of drummer John Longstreth (ex-ORIGIN). Replacing him for the group's upcoming dates in March and subsequent European tour will be returning skinsman Bob "The Big Guns" Beaulac.

Longstreth, who is said to have left SKINLESS over "musical differences," has joined EXHUMED as the band's new touring drummer. His first appearance with the group will take place on February 5 at The Distillery in Sacramento, Ca. A month-long U.S. tour with CANNIBAL CORPSE and HYPOCRISY will follow beginning on February 12 in Houston, Texas.

though origin is touring again.

So who is origins new drummer? And what happend to the drummer exhumed had ? He was pretty darn good.

What Exhumed drummer? Col Jones left because he wanted to pursue his career. Their other "tour" drummer was just filling in until they found somebody. The one who played on their last tour was from Uphill Battle.

i have a hard time believing the new origin drummer could be up to par with john, whoever he is.
either way, exhumed is much better than skinless and this makes me glad because i will definetly be at that show.

i hate exhumed, but on a personal level, not musically. i don't listen to them so i can't comment. but i think john's an amazing drummer. i wish he stuck with origin because that band was more his style and speed. i always saw skinless as a kinda slower, more moshy type of death metal. and when u throw in the king of hyperspeed gravity roles, it just doesn't work. so i think him leaving skinless is for the better.

more like he should have stuck with Angelcorpse. what a band whore, hes almost as bad as Garm, or Trickster G, or whatever you want to call him.

per MORKUL: it's because good drummers are hard to come by. the few that are out there have to play on every CD 'cos lazy drummers are too busy playing papa roach and don't have the balls to put in the hours it takes to be good.

yeah, so not my words, just replying for our favorite "types in all caps" guy. hehehe....
