Fights happen everywhere. We've all seen them at metal and hardcore shows, I saw one at a hip hop show the other day. If you don't like it or you're not involved, shut the fuck up and forget about it, because bitching about it won't change a thing. I know hardcore kids who aren't dicks and I know metal kids who are bigger dicks than some hardcore kids. I just think its dumb when metal kids bitch about "tough" hardcore kids and hardcore kids bitch about "pussy" metal kids. Everyone should shut the fuck up and worry about themselves.

I found a hardcore band I like!!!!

Colin of Arabia is fucking awesome and the guys in the band are wicked laid back and have a sense of humor, unlike other hardcore bands and fans which caused my severe anti-hardcore stance for the past 2 years.

COA are definately really good AND are great guys. im good friends with them... been in bands with them in the past and whatnot. they will rock you all so hard.


and everyone BEST go the the malignancy show at the bombshelter this sunday... or feel my wrath.

I'm gonna have to agree. The metal scene is generally more welcoming and good spirited than the hardcore scene. The last metal show I was at was Helloween, and there were four or five guys there that could probably beat the shit out of anyone there or at most shows Ive been to lately, and they were the nicest guys in the world. The last hardcore show I was at was Diecast, and everything was fine until the end, and everyone started attacking this one kid. i unfortunately agree with u on that rev, not enough metalheads go to metal shows. i go to every one i can. but there's at least a dozen other death metal heads i know of in my town, and i almost never see them at a show. most of them either "don't have money" (GET A FUCKING JOB THEN U ASSHOLE!!!!!) or "had shit to do" (and what shit would that be?)

I'd say a majority of the metal kids I've met have been complete waste of space assholes, along with alot of hardcore kids i've met. If metal kids are such good people then why can't I goto a metal show and have fun without a dozen long haired doofuses trying to start with me because i look different.

Personally I couldn't care less about music, or musical tastes. as an(old) metalhead who likes hardcore too, I agree with the fact that hardcore kids like to fight way too much. Back in the day, TT the Bears had great shows if you can beleive it. In the 80's I saw there: Nuclear Assault/Ludichrist, Voivod/Kreator, DRI, Agnostic Front, COC, The Mentors, etc etc. Anyways, At the A.F show, all I wanted to do was get close enough to see the band, but got punched in the face immediately upon getting within 20 feet from the stage, Same with COC and DRI. The hardcore kids were just such assholes. Im not saying that all hardcore kids are assholes, but a lot of them just want to fight. Metal is definitely more of a family type scene with more respect for others, thats for sure.

That makes sence. Next time someone with a camera (for some reason close tthe pit) gets kicked, I'll be sure to donkey kick them in the face for ya. in the mean time, it shouldn't be to hard to stay away from the violence if your trying to take pictures.

For every one metal band I see, I see 2 or three hardcore bands. And generally, I need to 'watch' myself more at hardcore shows. I can actually be free in pits at metal shows more often without watching where my fist flies for fear of attack than at hardcore shows. And since 'moshing' isnt my style, it sucks when you punch an intolerant person. I love the shows and the music, but some people ruin it. And metal, theres always drunk assholes who think they're real cool too, which has gotten me into fights as well. I dont mind getting pounded, as long as someone would help me up if I fell. And hell yeah. Nu-metal does suck.

And, oh yeah. Metal fans do need to get their shit together and go to more shows. And whoever the kid was that made the comment about 'niggers' on January 20th just shouldnt say shit like that. Its absolutely uncalled for. There are more than 10 kids on both the metal and hardcore scene I know that are black and cool as hell. Just keep that shit to yourself.
