How well lit is it? I use my rogue-class thieving skills to look for any traps and cautiously investigate the door.

It's lit by an Itty-Bitty Book Lamp. The door appears trapped - someone has thoughtfully balanced a bucket labeled "SULFURIC ACID LOL" on top of it.

I use my longsword to try to "thread" it through the handle all clumsy like from hot shots!: part deux

You tip the bucket over on yourself, and are rewarded with a shower of confetti made from finely-chopped Listerine breath strips. You now smell minty fresh.
