anyone watch this show on AMC? it stars Bryan Cranston (Hal from Malcolm in the Middle; the dentist from Seinfeld) and it's about a chem. teacher who cooks crystal meth...it's actually pretty awesome, and the first episode was on Sunday...definitely worth recommending...

i just read that AMC ordered 9 episodes for the season but since the writers strike happened a few months ago, they could only get 7 done... and this week is the 7th...hopefully they get their asses in gear cause i'm digging the shit out of this show...who knew crystal meth could be so addicting, even in tv form?

Vastly underrated series. Every time I mention it, no one knows what the fuck I'm talking about. Easily one of my favorites in a long time. The writing is superb. I already am anxiously awaiting the 4th season.

After finding the first season by the grace of God, still in it's shrinkwrap, in front of a 7-11 a week ago, the girlfriend and I picked up season two today..
Two episodes into this season and it's fucking intense!!!
Have to take breaks in between episodes to let the knot in my stomach settle... never had that happen before with a tv show haha
best show on tv. the season 4 premiere was good but felt like half an episode with all the long commercial breaks.
And how fucking LAME was the walking dead "sneak peek"? Hiding behind a tree, and rocking two zombies to death, isn't a sneak peek. But still, can't wait for both shows to continue.
This scene was definitely way more badass than this picture. The look on his face when he's walking out there, pissed off and confident. And then the look on his face through the sniper scope.
I thought breaking bad was pretty good. Although at some points I could not handle the family Drama bullshit. I have only seen the first 3 seasons. But overall id say its worth watching
FUCK HER, SERIOUSLY..her smile makes me want to puke.
I'm on season 2 ep 10, fucking rules. Jessies girlfriend is hot.
her clepto bitch of a sister is pretty hot. would give.

Ewww, Marie is fucking gross looking.
I don't think any of the female roles on this show have been attractive.
Hank reminds me of my district manager when I was managing the Coldstone Creamery in Malden. TOTAL DICKBAG.
Skyler is kinda back and forth with me.. HATED her for the first two seasons, started to like her during the third when she "Broke Bad". She's an underrated character and a hell of a lot smarter than she seemed when the show first started.. although, she should have never given that money to Ted.
I love the way they name episodes too.. For instance, in the episode entitled "IFT", is when Skyler tells what that she fucked Ted.
the phoenix had a fucking sweet article on the finale today...made a reference to the wire! also andrew- half the 4 day passes for mdf have sold out :/
you're a dolt. you poopface. with rites and mdf funds are tight but we have to make both happen without a doubt. i'd ALMOST rule thurs out (considering how many times we've seen ehg) if it weren't for DESASTER....
yeah...I may partition my funds out by buying one day tickets with each paycheck...like buy a ticket for friday today, buy one for saturday next week etc...it costs a little more but that way i dont have to drop $200 all at once.
i thought she got two rooms so she can be separate? i dunno...KRF SUNDAY?! :( i hooooope so. who else am i gonna talk shit with? AND BE DAY SMASHED WITH?! sheesh.
too busy talking about chess with steve ramsdell and avid DEATH listening....YOU SLEEP, DAWG. or else we'll end up retardedly hanging out sleep deprived in a few hours talking about the possible outcomes of breaking bad.
...I will admit.that until they said Brock wasn't poisoned with ricin that I didn't think Walt was responsible. As.soon as that was revealed I remembered the scene in the previous episode where Walt is spinning the gun and on the third spin it lands on the plant. Shit is crazy.
it kinda ended in a way that could have been the SERIES finale not just the season finale...it didn't leave much of a cliff hanger for next season...excluding maybe that LAST shot at the end but what does that hint at? a beef between Jesse and Walter? What else is new?..I cant watch an entire season of them beating each other up.
Yeah I hope they don't go with the Jesse vs Walt thing again. I'd rather it just be Walt making a cold yet calculated decision that he lives with for the greater good. It's awesome when he's a pure fucking badass drunk on power, like when he threatened that guy in the hardware store a season or two back saying to stay off his turf.
The only thing that annoys me about the show is when Walt gets really stupid with how he treats Jesse. Obviously his character is brilliant and has flaws, but how he acts is not always consistent. His forward thinking is normally retardedly good that it makes him putting Jesse down and demeaning him to his face without thinking about what the consequences of that are seem stupid and out of place. But maybe that's just one of his huge flaws. Afterall, he had to wind up as a go-nowhere underachieving chemistry teacher somehow. Chances are, that's from his own arrogance fucking things up.
Also, they never really explore the father-son dynamic going on with Walt and Jesse. I don't really care too much about it, but they spend a lot of time planting the seeds. The show is so good that it makes me wonder where they could go with it. It was fucking dumb when he went waaaaaaaaay out of his way to bring Jesse into the mix with Gus. Gus wanted nothing to do with him in the beginning.
i don't understand why they brought up how Gus came from Chile and how there was no record of him before, and then they offed the guy without us ever finding out about his Chilean past.

there have been suggestions that Gus will be in the next season in flashbacks or whatever, so that may come into play then.

I think that was just to make his case look more suspicious when Hank was trying to sell the idea to the DEA. I was very satisfied with his flashback a few episodes ago when his partner got killed by the cartel.

I bet next season will mostly be about Hank and Walt. I'm sure there will be an episode were Hank finds out about Walt. His reaction should be good.
was way happier to see Tyrus die than Gus. most dull/useless character in a great TV series ever.
I didn't mind Tyrus. There wasn't a lot of background on his character. He just seemed like a cold, yet loyal, and effective grunt... perfect for what Gus needed.
I look at Mike as being a higher-up. Tyrus is on the same level as that guy who's throat got cut by Gus. The less-of-a-badass and doesn't-need-to-think type goon.
yeah, that one. I'm close to the end of the second season.
I really want to know about what is happening with the bear...
I also think that Walter is going to get into the junk.
Bryan Cranston Confirms 'Breaking Bad' Season 5 Will Be Split In Two
The final eight episodes of AMC's thriller may not air until 2013.
By Blair Marnell April 06, 2012
After tense negotiations that almost sent "Breaking Bad" to another network, AMC finally renewed the show last year for a fifth and final season of 16 episodes. At the time, it was rumored that the fifth season of "Breaking Bad" would be split in two. But an official statement regarding the split has yet to be released.
However, "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston confirmed the split in no uncertain terms during a new interview with Entertainment Weekly.
“We’re splitting it,” Cranston told the magazine. “We’re going to shoot the first eight, then take a four-month production break, then the rest will air next year.”
A spokesman for Sony Pictures TV responding to Cranston's quote said that the four month production break was only "one scenario" under consideration. And while fans will presumably be upset about having to wait almost a calender year for the conclusion of the series, it may be in AMC's best interests to hold the final episodes of "Breaking Bad" back. For starters, it will give the network two more summers with one of its most critically acclaimed shows and it will presumably be eligible to rack up more Emmy Awards as well.
The fifth season premiere of "Breaking Bad" is currently filming in New Mexico; and according to Cranston, it takes place shortly after the harrowing events of the fourth season finale.
“We pick up right where we left off,” noted Cranston. “We’re cleaning up the pieces from last season’s huge ordeal where Gus Fring was forced to meet his maker. It’s not as easy as Walter thought. And as we’ve discovered over the years, you don’t really know who Walter White is. I’m still discovering who he is and I’m trying to allow myself to be open to him going darker and darker. There’s physical danger to himself and his family, plus there’s the emotional danger due to his anger and hubris. It’s about the evil that men do and where that takes him.”
awesome, sucks that it is the last year, but I'm totally going to watch this series again. I'm just curious what will happen. I think I posted in a season finale thread about this, but I think that they are going to find out about the why gus was so important and find out the people behind gus.

I have finally caught up, finished Season 4 a few minutes ago. WOW!
Where exactly do they go now? They didn't introduce anything new. In fact, that felt an awful lot like a SERIES finale and not a season finale.
I can see how you would think that, but are you kidding? There were so many things left open. Mostly, why was gus was so important that he was kept alive nd given the job that he had.
Each season or so escalates the size of the operation, local to state-wide to regional to regional/international. This season will have to be global if it is the last season and the important people over Gus will come from our meth cookers.
The fifth and final season of Breaking Bad is set to kick off on July 15 on AMC, and according to show creator Vince Gilligan, a new, “important” character will be introduced in the season’s second episode.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gilligan said that season five will feature Scottish actress Laura Fraser, who will play a “former associate of Gus Fring who’s integral to the proceedings of [the season].” Gilligan adds that Fraser’s character is “nervous about her place in the world.”
Fraser’s previous acting credits have included A Knight’s Tale, Titus, Vanilla Sky, and several spots on BBC TV.
