so apparently i got drunk and smacked my guitar into something. i say apparently because i have no memory of doing this. but anyway, theres a nice chip about the size of a quarter right down to the raw wood. Whats the best way to fix it? should i just paint over it? wood putty? what kind of paint? should i have a professional do it?
i just dont want wetness to get in there and completely fuck the whole finish up.
I can post pics if you guys want to see.
I know theres some guitar experts on here.

normally, it's alright to have a ding or two on a guitar to give it character, but this perticular one is very rare and valuable. It's the first Moser Custom Shop Bastard V BVi
my camera sucks at upclose shots but there it is. definitely more than just a little knick. No way i can leave it like that. Its on the bottom 'V' by the input jack.
yeah im extra careful with it. it's lasted a while without any damage at all. just turned 21 so i'm gonna be drinkin at shows now so its only a matter of time before i completely destroy it.
