Im going only to see shai hulud and maybe stick around to see older hatebreed stuff.
Im Pretty disapointed in the line up tho. But i guess it is what it is.
im hoing that I don't get down there too early. almost done my exchanging and shopping. i also going to do some car repair. that for me means changing my wipers and utting in windshield washer fluids.
RH agreed. the last time I saw them the guitarist grabbed my shirt to scream in my face and broke my necklace/left bruises... but I what too see them again right now. granted, something got messed up so there was no second stage. All the locals aren't playing I guess. Sucks. I guess they were going to have 2 stages even though the palladium site didn't mention that.
bloodjinn: missed them, but peole said they were good. I've had their CD sitting on my desk since I came out and have never listened to it.
thy will be done: good set as usual. Positive and full of energy. They played a crowbar cover. I don't remember which, but then again, im not big on crowbar.
at all costs: weird... The singer had all these mic effects. I thought I was watching peter frampton or something. During their set a dude got his head split open. I remember theor CD being just melodic metalcore, but that only came out in like one song. Must have been the on song that I listened to.
shai hulud: matt fox is a fucking hippie! Wow. Anyhow, I haven't seen that amount of raw energy on that stage and from the crowd in a long time. Profound hatred of man is fucking awesome. They played that title song maybe the 2nd song they played. The new singer was in the crowd non-stop. Every single time he went into the crowd, people just jumped up at him. So good. Even though hey weren't anywhere near me, it was like they were screaming straight in my face non-stop.
turmoil: I completely forgot how good this band is. I recognized them immediately when they got on stage, but forgot that they were just that good. I need to ipod their discography CD. Not much happened during their set, the floor was sort of empty, but looking just at the stage ruled cause of the music they were playing. The 2 old songs they played got people in the pit moving and everyone on the side of the stage singing along.
God Forbid: they were solid. Even though I sang along to all the songs they played, I don't know why I wasn't so siked up to ee them. Even the thought of taco bell after the show wasn't rousing my interest. Oh well. The crowd seemed to love them. The house was packed at this point too. They played a sepultura cover too, propaganda. They asked for everyone to move during the last part of the last song which started a large circle pit. During their entire set, some guy was throwing out tshirts for jagermisters.
agnostic front: I knew they were going to be good. From what I've heard off the new CD, it is surprisingly good so the rumos are true. The live new ones they played were just as good... Except one that started off with crappy singing. To be honest the singing was more like the old school punky stuff, but it doesn't have the hook that the older songs have. They played a good mix, heavy on classics towards the end. The last song was a new, but held up after a couple classics. For some reason the old guitarist sat back and didn't move at all. Wonder why. The singer kept mentioning cameras videotaping the set for a DVD, but I didn't see any cameras any where.
Aaron you are hearby banned from doing reviews of old hardcore bands. Vinnie Stigma shall not be referred to as the "old guitarist", you shall refer to him as Stigma. Also, please refer to the singer as Roger Miret.
If your review of Hatebreed is good then you need to quit doing reviews all together. You have no taste.

Yeah, really. It was as if a girl was writing a review for her boyfriend while holding his BFB hoodie WHERE SHE FUCKING BELONGS.
hatebreed: well, I've been seeing this band for almost a decade and I have to say this is the most positive I have ever seen them. There was just an air aout them on the stage tonight that they were just having a really good time. They were all smiling as they played too. It's like they had an epiphony or something. When someone was injured in the it, they stoped the show and waited for the person to be carried out. The whole time they were stopped, jamey just talked about how they were all there just to have a good time. When there was a fight, the paused too for the boucers to sto it before cutting into a little eye of a tiger. "i'm not going to be a hypocrite and say don't fight at a show cause it happens at every show, but" smiling "just save it to the end. Ok?" They even popped out a few satisfaction tracks right at the beginning which is their best material. At one point when I was in the back, I saw a crutch come down into the pit from the balcony. jasta said that he had never seen something like that befor but I have and I blame Mark Fucking Richards. And that's all I wrote before leaving.
