this morning my first block teacher asked me to make a site on high school poet laureates. pretty much a representative from each school posting their poetry and shit.

I dont know a good way to make it so people can login, have their own account and be able to post their poetry under their account, any ideas? I've never really done a site with Login names and shit so this will be a first.

perl-cgi? (I'm guessing with dbm)
asp/access|sql2K?

you need to know what you got for technology available to see what you can do.
if you want it quick and easy, why not just set up phpBB or something like that and have member-only sign ups with invites.

ill get back to you in like 10 mins. the class that i stay in for this block ( i have an independent study) went out to take a tour of the network, so im in the class alone right now.

all these pages look pretty static.
so I'm not sure.
if you got access to dump files there.
make a file like this
name: blah.php

content:
<?php
phpinfo();
php?>

and then look at it through the server.
see what it says.

I would do free-lance work to do it, but I'm sure they don't have the $$ to pay me to do it.

probably not thats why they have kids like me take independent studies to fix pages on the SAU site that were made with Frontpage and Clipart.

I have vowed to never type the word "clipart" in a search engine. Any time i need a clipart picture i type cilpart and have the search engine fix it for me.

I'm guessing you aren't going to be able to do it..
cause all those pages are static and you need some sort of dynamic technology.
