I figured nine out of ten people wouldn't notice where the picture was from if these were put up in public places, but there's always that one person who's got a hair up their ass. Plus the bands are outdated. That's my ultimate excuse.
I swear if the slackers I personally know don't go to this, I will drill holes in their heads, shovel hot tar in, and repeat the process.
A certain few I'm thinking of don't read this board, so I'm warning you all now, if you hear in the news of someone getting hot tar shoveled into their head, you will know the backstory.
When is Hivesmasher going on? I have to go to a recital tommorow night and it probably won't be over til 9 or so. I know the flyer says the show starts at 6:30 but hopefully it will start later because I really want to see you guys again.
Go to this show or suffer. I will personally force feed whipped dog shit (looks like chocolate moose, but less calories) to anyone who fails to be seen at this event.
so typical, last night I got ill or something and was dizzy all night and couldn't sleep, so now I'm a mess, but at least I can see straight now. If you see some guy holding a bass passed out on the floor, say hi.
ouch: The singer was bouncing on the diving board in front of the stage. I would be hilarious if it broke, he fell and then said "ouch!" oh i'm like sooo witty. So, in between each song, the drums needed to be pulled apart and messed with. Since he didn't have a drum key on him, in between each song, then needed to beg for a drum key from the audience. This slowed down their set and in the end, they ended early. The music reminded me a lot of pillory. Lots of change ups to other music styles and "mallcore" vocals etc... If you didn't recognize him, the bassist used to sing for slapshot back in the 80's.
auburn: there was a really stupid fight like right at the beginning of their set. Most peole just stood around not caring after that. Then one of their heads crapped out. They sounded like every time I die. The little guy on guitar had his head blow out on him. Ryan Decker gave then a head, but the crowd seemed to not care at that point. there was something dumb at the end with a temper tantrum or something. not from anyone in this band.
VYGR: maybe instead of rock-n-roll project, maybe this is what hardcore kids will once again do with their really nice gear once they stop liking hardcore. Very much like explosions in the sky or isis (mostly cause there is screaming). They just need some tripadelic pan of water and oil on a projector or something. This was in fact the band that I came to see. It seemed like plenty of others came for them too. No real movement from the crowd. Just some headbobs. When I passed through them, I felt like I was in assassin's creed walking through the crowd. Huh.. Note to self: purchase switchblade camera.
hivesmasher: for a hivesmasher set, this was pretty calm. Granted I couldn't see over the crowd, but really what could have been going on back there that wasn't going on at the stage? They sounded really good on his stage. As promised, someone was there videotaping.
The rotund kid that was flailing around hit a girl in the back next to me, someone made him go apologize and he did and offered her a free punch, she slugged him right in the gut, I felt the shockwave a few feet away

I also forgot how even after all these years, I automatically just walk into the fox hall kitchen when that stupid elevator stops there for no reason on the second floor.
aaaahhhhh, yea i live like 15 minutes from there but was too busy going into work for 30 minutes and then lying around at home doing nothing
