yea, well i've got a computer that i'm currently trying to install windows on. for some reason when it says "hit any key to boot from disk" its as if i've no keyboard present. now i tried booting and hitting DEL ito get into the bios, and that works....so the keyboard is definitely recognized [halt on errors are activated also, and i see none of them]....i tried a ps/2 keyboard and a usb keyboard with the same outcome.....can anybody put me in the right direction?
Try to re route the IP address to the PING.( you may have to look up the IP address) once that is set you can go to C:/windows/systems users...click on your account and re install windows with the keyboard plugged in....hope i could help
Is it a newer keyboard? Some of the newer ones don't have the "Any" key, so you may need to go on eBay and buy an older keyboard. This one should work:
its a formatted harddrive...and i have the first boot device set to cdrom...i just cant seem to figure out why the keyboard decides to be anal when i need to hit a key
Sounds like an issue with the bios. Flash it to a newer bios maybe? It could be an issue that's been resolved.
just tried it and STILL nothing

So go in your bios and set it to boot from the disk drive. Then you won't have to worry about hitting any keys.
