i need to find a cheaper place to live, i found a 3 bedroom for 900 in Manchester.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 19,2007 10:34pm
I guess you could say that.
tell me what street it's on and I'll tell you if it's a good place or not. there are definitely parts that I don't walk around in after dark.

toggletoggle post by brad weymouth at Sep 19,2007 10:40pm
forget it then, i dont want my daughter growing up there if it's anything like Brockton.

NH is nothing like Mass no matter what people say. NH is tame. Nashua is worse than manchester if you ask me,

wow, that place looks like the bomb for $900
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geoc...031326,0.04961&z=14&iwloc=addr&om=1

it it's east of maple, it should be fine. As you get closer to pine street, it turns shitty.

funny, pine st in nashua is terrible and pine st in manchester is too.

I have lived in nashua for 25 years and have seen its downfall. Its okay my new place is great. We have a mexican food market with good fruit and food, plus an amazing variety of hispanic beers and alcohol right next door. But yes Pine Street in nashua is great. You can buy crack at anytime you want :-) if thats your deal.

Agreed, if you're looking for a 3 bedroom in Massachusetts even the shitty areas you're looking at a minimum of $1,100.00

im paying 1200$ for a 2 bedroom, no utilities except for water, but the water heater is run by electricity

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 20,2007 8:22am
where? nashua? if you can find out the address of the place on lowell st, I can give you more detail. the east end of lowell st is white suburbs. the west end is next to downtown and trashy. As you go up the hill it gets better and better (though radio reception gets worse and worse).

how old is your daughter now?
her elementary school:

and I think hillside is the closest jr. high
http://www.mansd.org/hillside/index.htm (check out the dress code)

for highschools, I have no clue.

Manch isnt bad unless its on Lake ave.
Even then, it depends on your neighbors.

Beats the hell outta any Boston burb, esp Brockton.

toggletoggle post by NH Resident at Sep 20,2007 9:05am
I also agree about Nashua being worse.

Nash is turning into a mini Worcester, complete with 4300 Brazilians per square inch.

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Sep 20,2007 9:11am
3 bedrooms for $900. Wow, what a great.... oh wait... it's in New Hampshire.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 20,2007 9:18am
Lake st is only bad around pine st. once you get up to union you are all set.

toggletoggle post by brad weymouth at Sep 20,2007 10:12am

Now you'll have to be Brad Manchester? Manchester is not bad, but everything Aaron said is correct -- your want to avoid Lake Ave, parts of Pine St., Elm St. (noise), etc. I lived in Manchester about 3 years -- I would assume that you be shown the apt during the day when no one was around (ie. crackheads were sleeping). I would recommend going back to visit the area at night to be sure it doesn't become infested with ghetto slugs when the sun goes down. Also, be sure to check it out when it's somewhat warm out. Even the shittiest parts of Manch appear to be nice when it's cold out -- then when Spring rolls around it turns into da hood. Good luck.

Don't buy/rent anything on Central St in Manchester.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 20,2007 1:36pm
L@Z is right. I park just about anywhere when it's cold. when it's warm, fuggedaboutit. I suggest driving by tonight aroun 8pm-sih since it will be warmer.

Granted, you are going to be on the 3rd floor, which is better.

im a copy repair guy. i work anywhere from Norwood to Roxbury, Quincy to Boston, basically south of Boston. My company is out of Nashua though, and they're a decent company so id like to stay with them.
this move wont be until next summer, just putting out the feelers for now.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 20,2007 5:05pm
jeepers... if you are always driving south of boston, I'm thinking that north of boston would be the worst idea ever. the traffic getting through boston is always intense.

toggletoggle post by brad weymouth at Sep 20,2007 8:22pm
yeah, but with them being out of Nashua i think theyd give me up there as a territory

toggletoggle post by brad weymouth at Sep 20,2007 8:23pm
btw, we service UNH

Fucking killer movie. Mena Suvari trying to take a shit while John Leguizamo jerks it into a sock. A++

toggletoggle post by largefreakatzero at Sep 21,2007 10:00am
Yes +1. That movie makes you itch. I think I had to take a shower after watching that.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 21,2007 10:11am
hudson's ok.. but there is so much traffic getting over the nashua bridge and hollis/canal st. lot's of land over never londonderry if you don't mind all the traffic on 102 going past alverin. hudson is also way more expensive than manch
