Hope it's better than the last album

That was a grower, a decent disc.

that's what THEY think of it.

Pretty sick artwork. I love when bands have consistent artwork throughout their entire collection.

The last album was a bit of a disappointment, but I think it was only because of production. When they came around with Aborted and Leng Tch'e a few years ago, some of the new stuff they played sounded fucking awesome live, but the CD just has no power to it at all. The production on "Mondo Medicale" was perfect for Impaled, so hopefully they achieve a little more of that with the new one.

yeah, mondo sounds great.

youd figure when they stepped up to CM for death after life that they wouldve had a decent production, but nooooooooo.

I'm guessing they were trying to go for more of an old Carcass-style recording quality but the engineers weren't familiar with making something so raw and gritty without sacrificing power.

the funny thing is that death after life IMO is way more in the heartwork vein, so you wouldve thought they wouldve tried for a similar production.

This is a good point. I guess we'll never know.
