has any body else gotten replies back asking for your address followed by some story about how they are sending you more money than intended and expect you to western union the rest of the money back to the sender?
Ive gotten two of these replies back, I dont see any problem in doing so , but getting two of these responses back from 2 different people makes me wonder..... These people are either real idiots for sending me more money or there is some craigslist scam trend that I am unaware of. feedback please.

Craigslist has a huge warning about this written in giant letters at the top of any page involving selling anything.

It's a well known scam. Don't send anybody money.

toggletoggle post by Josh_Martin at Jun 6,2007 11:02am
That is the oldest scam in the book. The check they send you will be fake. They are getting you to cash a fake check. When the bank realizes its a fake they come after you not them.

how come every scam is the oldest scam in the book? these are some pretty new advanced scams to be the oldest.

toggletoggle post by Aegathis  at Jun 6,2007 11:39am
yea , i mean ive sold stuff on there before in the past , and have never heard nor seen this one.

the thing that pisses me off about crasigslist the most, other then the scams, is the fact that every person from newhampshire is always trying to sell shit in the mass craigslist.

it's so fucking aggrivating. If NH hates MA so much, then stay the fuck out of our craigslist.

It is not a scam. I also represent a very wealthy man of whom you are the last living relative. He wished for you to inherit $100 billion dollars. But first you have to Western Union me $500,000, then come to Nigeria so I can rob you and slit your throa...err, give you the money in person. Yes, that's the ticket.

The best are the ones that tell you some foreign billionare needs to move a huge sum of money to an American bank account for some mysterious reason. All you need to do is give them your bank account numbers. And there are still people who fall for it.

i want to see "the book". if they published "the book" no one would fall victim to scams.
