in dire need is playing this too. i guess they are actually hooking up local bands for a change. good for them. and good luck dudes. |

Im sure one way or another Goatwhore will wind up on this show |
Aegathis nli said: Im sure one way or another Goatwhore will wind up on this show |
this is really good news though...they'll do well on this show |
congrats to zircon. i need to go see arsis and cephalic carnage. this will be a great show. |
ill have more room to run around on the main stage, so i wont have to jump into the audience |
it will be cool to see you up there on that big stage, my friend. |
wow seriously congrats on that shit, thats a hellva show |
I need to get my distro in this show.
It seems like The Palladium is trying out Mark's formula of adding locals to bigger tours. Hopefully they won't do the pay-to-play thing as well. |
they're out-marksing mark's |
Nah, I don't think that Palladium will do that. They make plenty of money from shows and, granted lately they've not been as reseptive toward local bands as they used to be, they never did pay to play. They know better then all these other dumbass bookers.
This tour is gonna be nasty. |
Yea we got added to this as well. We are really excited. Congrats to you guys as well. See you there. |
hm.. weird that it's not on the events board. |
I cannot wait for that show. Especially the fact that In Dire Need just got on it. |
fuck, i've smoked pot with 6 out of the 9 bands on this tour. |
I will be at this shit. Killer tour. Congrats, Zircon! |
I'm guestlisted for the Northern Light's gig in upstate NY and this show too, bitches. Check out my sweet ego. |
why are there local openers on a tour with this many bands? are they doing two stages? |
id be willing to think that theyre going to do a mini fest of sorts. |
well the original summertime slaughter that happened a few years ago, was a big 7 or 8 band tour. i remember, when they came here impaled, enter self and one other band couldn't play downstairs and were replaced with blood has been shed, the red chord and killswitch engage at the last minute. it was a defining moment in the fuck metalcore war. diecast's last show with that singer too, some kid got his head split open during their set and the whole show almost ended. skinless got banned that night too, vader played for 20 people. great show! |
this is one week before the sounds of the underground tour... over all this is the show i choose to go to but i may end up at both cause i can get in for free. |
i actually saw in dire need handing out flyers to this show outside of metalfest. |
this show is all ive been talking about lately...im so excited for it |
I remember that night. Last time you'd see Skinless around here for a couple of years. |
awesome. this is going to rule. |

Hah,and Anthony will have fun on the floor because we'll be having another gutarist up there with us. Maybe you can sit back and count our time signatures if you don't feel like going into the pit. |
is this going to be one or two stages? |
i thought this show started at 3 |

I can't make it that day, but good job to zircon for getting onto this show, I hope it works well! |
i took the day off and ive got tickets, and i will be there for zircon. any other locals playing? |
I'm not gonna catch the opening bands, but I need to go to this. Anybody driving from and back to the Boston area? |
Anthny said: I'm not gonna catch the opening bands, but I need to go to this. Anybody driving from and back to the Boston area? |
we could arrange some carpoolage. i believe niccolai will be coming to this with me, but i'll have to check with him first. either way, i'm 98% sure i'm going and could give you a ride. |
Motherdicka, I'll be there. |
yeah, I just got the AOK on shootiing this today. |
i will probably be shooting and then taking off for Giants Stadium because I'm shooting a show there the day after |

I know who I'm hanging out with. |
what time does anyone think this will get out ? |
Probably not terribly late, they're starting it fairly early...around when they start Metalfest and there's fewer bands (As far as I know)...so I'd guess 1 at the latest. |
lookin forward to getting SNOOKERED with Cephalic
Mr. Fucking, we're having a beer or eight. |
Mark, it shall be done.
As long as Nic isn't trying to suck you off again, then I can't hang around you guys. I'm just not comfortable being forced into that situation. |
Yeah, does anyone know the order of bands for this? |
haha, if those beers are root beers, ryan, then count me in. |

I'll get there around 6:00.
Rev, get the set times! |
woooo! i can't wait to finally see necrophagist, beneath the massacre and decapitated. i can't wait to hear the new cephalic carnage shit live too; their new album is fucking crushing. the faceless will definitely be awesome to see again. |
talked to the in dire need guys this show definitely starts around 3-4 and they are going on around 5 (3rd slot) so if you get there after work you shouldnt miss too many of the nationals. hope to see lots of friends tomorrow! |

who else is opening other than zircon and IDN? |
We are loading in at 1pm tomorrow but I do believe the show is starting at 3pm |
Doesn't look even remotely close to sold out. Said ticket #168 when I went to tickets.com (Not that I'd actually BUY a ticket like that, just a good check to see how much they've sold...at least I think, I don't know if the numbers are entirely random and arbitrary) |

most of the tickets are sold from FYE
It wont sell out by 6:00pm... hopefully! |
3 pm seems to be the most used time for this show to start, so i guess i'll believe that. i'll probably be there at 3:30 or so. i haven't been to the palladium in a loooong ass time, so i'm not sure if they still do this, but will there be separate lines for those who have tickets and those who don't? and if i've got tickets at will-call, which line would i have to be in? |

those who dont have tickets go up to the ticket booth inside and buy them and then cut people with tickets in line.
people with tickets get angry when people without tickets cut them.
that's generally how it goes down. |
but what if i have purchased tickets and they are held at will-call? technically that means i have tickets. i guess i'll have to find out tomorrow. |
Does anyone at least know the order of the bill? |
that means your part of group 6-c, who cuts everyone, goes through the door, and wait in line behind 3-5 people at t'e tiny window inside where its cash only every other show that starts with 'S'. Once you have paid cash, or maybe winked to let the guy use your debit card as a Discover card, he gives you 'THE TICKET' then you look for the shortest line to tear your ticket, cut in front of the people being molested, get molested, then you pass. UNLESS, you look like a guy they kicked out earlier, at which point you will be questioned and fucked with to see if you are too drunk. |
the show doesnt start at 3. doors are at 3. |
No,they'll put the locals on at 2:55 |
ha! that reminds me of every metalfest until I was "special"
walking in as the first bands were finishing. |
anyone have set times yet? gosh! |
I just emailed out asking for them. |
leaving for this sooooooooooon |
first band is on at 3:15, last band is over at 11pm. |
Where can I park at the palladium besides street parking? |
anyone know when the Faceless goes on? |
doors at 3
4:25 beneath the massacre
5:10 ion dissonance
5:55 blood runs black
6:40 the faceless
7:45 cattle decapitation
8:25 cephalic carnage
9:05 decapitated
10:00 necrophagist
... you're welcome |
"last band is over at 11pm."
Necrophagist only gets an hour? LAME
At least my plan to get there at 6-ish skips Ion Dissonance. Unfortunately it means I may catch some of As Blood Runs Black. |
Fuck, I guess I will be missing BENEATH THE MASSACRE. |
no probs. load up your distro with some extra hateful filthy black shit, metal merchant! and did i give you an ipsissimus demo yet? |
traffic and parking is in-fucking-sane. the entire center of the town is blocked off. the center where I always park that is. |
The distro is staying home.
No demo yet, bring me one. |
me either, jerk.
I saw ryan adams on the guestlist. what an ass. |
Put John Dwyer +1 on there! |
I'm down in the front now.
zircon: ran in and caught them. People said they only had one song left, but they were able to do a couple more. I was totally surprised at all the people there that early to see them/idn. Idk who the new guitarist was. He needs long hair to fit in.
in dire need: they pulled off the big stage by joey constantly being in/on/at the crowd. They had plenty of people jumping up from the crowd. Ryan jumped down for the last song too. They had sooo many people in the crowd singing along for them..er.. More like "OOOOOOOUUUUR"ing along for them. with all the running around, you would have thought that joey would have gone through a million mics, but he only killed one chord so they gave him the short chord. |
oopies.. I almost posted that again. |
beneath the massacre: the singer is so massive. It probably helps the band cause they with out their instruments, people would probably think they were wiggers. Their music is a beautiful composition of the brutal and technical. I'm still stunned that they pulled it off with only one guitar. I noticed that the bass-player picks up a lot of the rhythm parts. They have been on tour since the show they played here in April. The singer claimed his voice was getting horse from in. I don't believe him. If it ever went out, he could scare it back |
ion dissonance: who the hell is that on vocals? It looks like kevin leary or that guy formerly of TTEOTD. Sounds a lot different. The new singer had a lot better english skills. He acted like this was his band (though his voice was sort of horse) so I'm going assume that he's been in it for a while. I was sort of distracted by that the whole set. Anyone want to shed some light? |
hey rev? still tix avail for this |
I would say yes looking at the size of the crowd. it might be 1/2 to 2/3 full. |
ok, I asked and ion d's had that new singer since november.
as blood runs black: they had to put in a whole new drumset for them so it took up probably all of arsis's set to do that and sound check it. This band completely looks like the most random dudes you could find just decided to start a band together. When I didn't see the bass player, I figured he would come out looking like roid rage carrot top. As they got into their set, it didn't remind me of black dahlia at all (no sarcasm). Their last song, my fear is phobias or whatever and they sounded NOTHING AT ALL LIKE BDM (sarcasm). It was like they were doing a BDM song and the singer acted a lot like trevor. The guitarist that did most of the running melodic riffs continually jumped down to the audience. but their set wasn't that bad none the less. |
faceless, the: very good and very humble. It seems like the keyboardist does more with their sound. Or maybe I could just hear it more. Not sure. They are still deathcore-y, but I think I will like them on CD.
cattle decapitation: they were set up, but then they walked off the stage and it started to smell like cephalic carnage (if you get my drift). After about 5-10 of the longest minutes ever, they started up. One of the bouncers here leaned over to me and said "that dude is gross", pointing at travis (the singer). For the entire set, he was his usual mucus and water bubbler. The whole floor in front of him was a collection of spewage and dribblets. I too an insane about of pictures of these dudes. I actually had a purpose though (this time at least) for an AD. They ended with karma bloody karma instead of the recapitation of the cattle. |
cephalic carnage: wow, even their songs of the metalcore album killed. The new bassist/back up singer screams like jason used to in dying fetus, leaving the singer with nothing to do for a lot of the newer songs. With an energy level that is through the roof, I should never expect anything less from these dudes. they also shouted out al and goratory.
decapitated: wowwie wowwie wow wow! they were so good. The last time they played the palladium blew goats. This time they totally redeemed themselves. Everything was perfect. Well.. They are still short one guitarist, but besides that, I couldn't have been happiest (though playing the complete nihility lp wouldn't have hurt). during their set, people from all the other bands were on the side of the stand and some of them dove off into the crowd. Decapitated's tour manager threw water in my face :(. |
fucking badass show. first time seeing alot of those bands. i think i temporarily decapitated myself during Decapitated's set. still pissed that Arsis was a no show however. |
i wish decapitated had a longer set...they deserve it completely |
decapitated got a perfect amount of time. |
As Blood Runs Black lost their drummer who was the only good part of that band. What a shame. |
Also, I'm curious to know: Was Beneath The Massacre's drummer as nasty live as he sounds on record? |
one of the drummers played kind of slow and sloppy... I'll have to look at pictures to see if it's him. my pictures are processing soooooo friggin slowly. |
this was definitely a sick show. i missed zircon and idn, but i'm sure i'll catch them on a million other shows.
beneath the massacre was fucking awesome, and yes their drummer played as tight live as on the CD. they all did, but the sound in palladium didn't do justice to them of course. same with ion dissonance; i'm not a huge ID fan, but it would have been cool to actually hear what they were doing. i'm glad i was outside for as blood runs black, because they suck. the faceless always play tight as hell but the sound their destroyed them; another band falls victim to the palladium. cattle decap was pretty good, but waaay better when they played good times last june.
cephalic carnage and decapitated stole the fucking show. one of the guitarists in the faceless had told me that decapitated left all their money in a hotel room in quebec, so when they were halfway to the palladium they had to turn back around. everyone said they were most likely not playing, so i was fucking bummed since i had never gotten a chance to see them before, but then there they were setting up on stage. their set was fucking amazing, and the pits for them were fucking RIDICULOUS! i wish they played one more song, but i was quite happy.
this was my first time seeing necrophagist, and it was awesome. i feel like i couldn't appreciate it 100% since i was tired, hungry, had to shit and my feet felt like they were going to explode, but they were awesome none the less.
very nice meeting hung to bleed for the first time, and i saw a shitload of people there i haven't seen in a while.
and what made this night even better was the $300 speeding ticket i got on the way home! woooo! foiled once again. |

Wow..cops got money from metalhead$ ... or did they? |

thats not cadaveryne Tony in the middle is it?? |

Did anybody else hear the singer for As Blood Runs Black as the crowd to "Bring the Ruckus?"
I dont remember the last time I laughed that hard. |

pff, you got lucky then. i got pulled over for going 85 in a 55, which was bullshit. i was definitely doing 85 at one point in the night, haha...but not when i got pulled over. i was stuck behind someone in the passing lane going about 75 or so, then saw someone tailgaiting me so i just decided to pull into the middle lane. the car that was tailgaiting me followed me into the lane, and low and behold it was a cop. faaantastic. i'll be appealing this shit. |

actually... during the new Wu-Tang's set... they busted out some fake ass "death metal" breakdown and the vocalist tried doing death vocals... i laughed really hard then went into the pit and did jumping jacks. what a fucking joke that band is.
This_Is_Heresy said: Did anybody else hear the singer for As Blood Runs Black as the crowd to "Bring the Ruckus?"

the funniest thing about this is that "bring the ruckus" is actually in the lyrics of the song, im pretty sure its "bring THA MUTHA FUCKIN RUCKUS" during the breakdown...possibly the lamest thing ive ever heard in a metal song EVER. besides sounding like a rip off of a rip off of a rip off, this makes me hate this band even more. haha.
besides them though, this show was sooo sooo awesome. the faceless, decapitated, and necrophagist blew me away. but i mean all the bands were awesome but those three stole the show for me. sad that decapitated only got a short set cus they were late but at least they played a couple songs of nihility, i was rockin out like a little kid. and for necrophgist i pretty much watched the drummer the whole time, psyched that he got a solo, better than the one i saw neil pert do last week, BY FAR. i cant wait to hear their new record. |
i was really pumped that Decapitated played "Lying and Weak" thats my favorite tune off of The Negation |
I decided to use as blood runs black set times to get a delicious cheese sandwich (i didnt have a lot of money left). Unfortunately when i got back they where still on. |
oh i brought the mother fuckin ruckus. i was right on top of everyone when he was down into the audience. |
anyone here love cattle? everyone i talk to hates them. i cant get enough! i love how i screamed "PLAY NO FUTURE" and then they were like "ok we are guna play this song that we havnt played this entire tour so lets see how it goes." i killed everyone during that song. |
no one here hates on them that I know of |
cattle decapitation are good, but the singer is an arrogant fuck. i enjoy the guitar work a lot; that's the key element that really draws me in. the vocals are pretty unique, but some of the highs are obnoxious live.
and why would anyone want to admit to bringing the motherfucking ruckus unless they're in wu-tang? that is silly. |
cattle decap was pretty good i think...amusing :P
but the climax of the show for me was when Decapitated played Post Organic.....oh my god i swear i had an orgasm |
actually, I don't know the drummer, but everyone in CD are great dudes. any "arrogant fuck"ness is pure stage show. |
Decapitated was un-fucking-believable. Hands down, the highlight of my night. I was drunk enough that I ended up throwin' down in the pit for a good portion of the night. I guess that's what happens when you're fueled on almost nothing but Jack and Cokes and straight Jim Beam. Overall it turned out to be one of the best times I've had in a long time. Bands aside, I seen a lot of cool people and also met a few too. |
new decapitated is boring live. the old stuff, minus Spheres, is AWESOME live. they need to cut the shit, grab a second guitar player, and play more from the first 3 albums live. fuck trying to be Meshuggah with blasts... they need to get back to being fun, headbanging goodness again... i dont care if its "vader jr"... that shit was awesome. |
If his arrogance is only a stage show, then he definitely takes it a lot further than the stage. I don't think he appears to be arrogant when he's on stage, but off the stage he's irritable and pissy. |
Aegathis said:

thats cadaveryne tony and peter. i was going to go with them but i had to work.
yes, they cut thier hair. |
decapitated does not need a second guitarist. |
you obviously didn't see them with the original singer and 2 guitarists.
I asked tony if he got cancer or something. |
demondave said: Whats the story behind the tooth photo in the Random section? |
That would be Crazy Dan. Someone headbutted him in the teeth when he was in the pit. He walked out bleeding from his mouth and laughing. |
whats going on in this picture? |
burnouts, at the summer nationals |
fuckin sick. decap was fuckin amazing. spheres of fuckin madness! necro was fuckin brilliant as well. |
spheres of madness is a gay song and is highly overrated. some cool riffs in it but over all it is boooooooring. i dont get why everyone loves that song so much. anything off of winds of creation has better riffs and is way more interesting. |
The smell of the burnouts was permeating throughout the Palladium. It was nasty! |
spaldino, the riffs make that song. don't be hating. |
Muscle cars rule Worcester...Apparently. WTF? |
ZenErik said: Muscle cars rule Worcester...Apparently. WTF? |
haha, that made me so pissed. All those guys were beaten as children.
Beneath and Decap did it for me. Necro was cool but pretty boring. i went back to the pit for them, WORST pit I've ever seen. it was like 6 drunken guys just running in circles.
Did anyone seen the scene chick with the "gore not core" that had the members of cattle decap killing scene kids.
I honestly fell asleep during Cattle Decapitation... for me they're only average at best and I was going on 40 hours without sleep |
I parked on the other side of the muscle cars and then when I went to walk back to my car, the cops wouldn't let me. When I asked how to get to my car, the cop turned and walked away. so I started walking straight again and they ran back and yelled at me. I said "I have to get to my car. it's right over there"
"Well, you have to walk around" - cop
"How do I do that?"
*cop walks away again*
I try to walk straight for the third time and they run back and yell at me not to cross some yellow line on the ground and I have to walk around. At that point, some old guy stood infront of me as the cops walked off again and the old dude asks where my car is and I point, he said "go up george st." and then he looks off in the other direction as I stand there with no idea what or where george st is. I asked him a couple times before his pointed to it. |

hah, I saw that horn go up and the face turn to me so I pulled back and snapped. looks like you were squinting from the flash. |

OH NO. How could I be oh so inconsiderate? I don't know my history about a city I don't live anywhere near and have been to 4 times in my life. |

Hah, that looks like what I was stuck behind for a minute or two. These two middle-aged bikers figured it would make them look cool to spin their tires at red lights and almost skid into moving traffic. After that they got in front of me and shrouded my car in a thick smoke. They showed me! Especially after one of them got pulled over by the cops, haha...oh wait, that happened to me later on too. Shit. |
I basically got as far as that trailer in the middle there. |
Haha, my car (the white one) made a special guest appearance on RTTP. |

thats because thats the point where you need to pay to get in.
usually the street is shut down all the way past the palladium for the burnout contest, they must have left it open just for the palladium show. |

You're so immature Rich. It's the cannoli wagon, IDIOT! |

Your mouth says no but your eyes say that's a spicy meatball. |

That really is a spicy meat-ah-ball-ah. |

Oh, and Keith, that's the Toyota Connola S-Series. The S is for spaghetti. That is crucial information on my vehicle. |

resist: hm.. With a band that is as catchy as this band, you would think that more people would be into it. Especially, with the people in this band. Oh well, they don't do many shows (since one of them is a big touring rockstar on a mahor label). maybe this was a cool down period for the crowd. It is getting hot in here. |
does anyone know who was playing drums for The Faceless last night? i thought Lord Marco was touring with them but it wasn't him.... |
well after 10 years of going to the palladium I finally was ejected. I went outside for a butt which was just after cephalic, really the only band I wanted to see and was planning to leave after. since there was no re-entry they took my wrist band-which was fine, I was leaving and pretty cocked already. then Shannon thought it would be awesome if she would force a beer to my lips and tilt it, with my luck this all happened right in front of the security guards who swiftly booted my ass.
cephalic was awesome. i thought it was a wicked quiet show though. |
fucking drunkin time for sure! the sound at this place blows, but I had fun. |

Dude! Forced a bottle to your lips,HAH!!!!!! You fucking took that shit out of my hands. The fucked up part was you never even took a sip, that security low life grabbed you before you even had a chance! I tried to explain the situation to him and he screams"don't touch me",fucking loser. I was pretty pissed about that shit,if it had been mark's showplace,we would have been kicked out hours ago. I got chewed out about having a smoke in the shithole restroom, fucking doors don't even lock. With all the money that place brings in,you think they could afford locks. Despite that crap, the show was great. The Cattle decapitation pit ruined me for the rest of the pits, but well worth it. |

the_reverend said: you obviously didn't see them with the original singer and 2 guitarists.
I asked tony if he got cancer or something. |
i saw them when they were contagion, if thats what you were referring to. What did he say in response to that cancer comment? |

All I can say is I am so out of the loop it isn't even funny.....
I've never heard Necrophagist and I saw the pictures of Necrophagist tour bus...So I thought to my self with a bus like that they must be good.. So I listen to thier albums and they are fuckin sick I love this band and me the dumbasss just missed them live ...DOH! |
besides Zircon and Decapitated, man am i glad i went to the burnouts instead. |
Sunday I headed down to NYC to shoot the last date of this tour.
The employee's there are complete dicks who don't give a shit as I've heard and seeing them work pretty much confirmed this accusation. I watched the 'bouncers' in the photopit with me just let people crowd surfing fall onto the concrete right in front of them without even grabbing them. At one point one of them was telling us to get out and I argued with him so he took me out back he was just like "if something happens to you, then it's our responsibility" and after he realized I had an AA/Photo pass he was like "OH, you have a pass, I'll let you know when you can come back in"
Went to get some 99 cent/slice pizza after Cattle Decapitation and managed to miss Cephalic Carnage, doh! :(
A lot of people left after Decapitated and during the last Necro song, people from all of the other bands came out on stage with brooms and swept across the stage. Aside from that, watching Marco was the only thing that entertained me during Necrophagist. I use to bust a load over this them but now, after seeing them live made me realize how boring they actually are (especially to watch). So yeah, the show wasn't so great in my opinion but I got to meet Marco Minneman so that alone made it worth it! |
3 songs for each band?
how was the lighting? |
