Joe, you are trying out for Pillory? Thats awesome. I've known Chris for a long time, he's a great guy. He is an awesome musician as well. He used to play in a black metal band with our drummer Jeff, before they turned into Virulence.

mike doesn't even come close to lord worm. no one does. lord worm is god

lord worm eats ass, he sounds like a three year old trying to sound like the cookie monster

lord worm - none so vile, blasphemy = good vocals fit for the style

mike - whisper, atyb = good vocals fit for the style

i'd prefer mike though, it sounds aggressive yet you can understand everything he says for the most part. lord worm doesn't even say anything half the time.

i dont understand how anyone can like mike's vocals. he sounds like a douchebag.

i guess its just a difference in opinion, but i think mike's vocals are fucking terrible. i thought he sounded completely out of place with those cds. i'd probably like whisper supremacy more than none so vile if mike wasnt singing during it, he almost ruined cryptopsy for me, but that band is too awesome for it to matter that much.

lets just hope lord worm is back....and they come to boston with him.

Mike was great in Infestation. I have two of the demos. One is a black and white cover with cheesy eyeballs on it, and the other is more of a doom/death demo called "Concieved" if I remember right. The eyeball one is more typical sounding death metal. He used to work at a gas station in my old town a long time ago.

hahaha the reverand makes a good statement there. I wonder if lord worm will actually learn the words to the songs. At least disalvo made the band look some what intelligent. Not making songs entitled " open faced surgery", or "slit your guts". both sick songs but come on. Lord worm will fuck everything up.

lord worm coming back into cryptopsy is like the second coming of christ. HALLELUAH BROTHERS!!!!!!! ok, so maybe that other guy had a voice that was easier to understand, but that doesn't mean he sounded good. i've never heard a vocalist as sick as lord worm. i mean look at his name, LORD WORM. it's a brutal voice because that's what cryptopsy is, a brutal band. when i first heard Slit Your Guts, and he did that extreme low in the middle of the song, i almost shit my pants.

I'm happy they know how to keep hardcore away from metal.

Your fucked up if you think Lord worm made cryptopsy. Their extremely talently playing made the band, not half assed death metal vocals. If you want to hear guttural check out fucking Clean Flesh or Erotic incisions.

I try to look at it this way. If DiSalvo sang before Lord Worm, they would have been passed off as a stupid attempt to be Hardcore/Grind and never would have left Montreal. If Lord Worm never would have set the standard, Cryptopsy would never be as awesome as they are. Personally I think DiSalvo sounds just as incoherant as Lord Worm. He's got that one "mother fucker take a bite of the poison" line, he should join hatebreed if he wants to write shitty lyrics like that. Here's the bottom line :
Lord Worm is a orginal member, he knows how Death Metal should be perfected.
Even if he makes "retarded noises" he's still an innovator, few do it as well as him, and many today are copying him.
Lord Worm is the vocalist in Death Metal that've called a poet, he has an amazing talent plain and simple.

ya, i think Cryptopsy needs a vocalist as fucked up as thier music is and the only one that fits those shoes is Lord Worm. Mike's shit was good but not original enough. Lord Word does some crazy shit. I know some people say he didn't have enough energy but all the live videos I have seen with him were fucking insane. He was goin nuts and on the of that was eating handfulls of worms.
