I was unimpressed with the album on the whole, it was all rehashed riffs from the last 10 years, with new lyrics, even the vocal patterns were very similar...

Jon's lead work is impressive as always though.

I was hoping for something new & refreshing from these guys. I know most of you all don't like 'em but I do. I had high hopes for this CD, but was let down :-(

mark, i dont know how you had high hopes for this cd when you know very well their past couple albums have been just rehashes of the art of balance. we all know this band has been done for ages now.

I hate this band, I hope they get killed.

I don't think this band is "done", as much as they have a niche now and they and have dug themselves into a groove. It is a pretty solid album of new Shadows Fall songs. Unlike the last cd they put out "Fallout from the War"
