I can't stand grind "bands" like this. I don't care if their drum machine can blast 100,000 beats a second, I don't care how gutteral their singer growls, I don't care if their songs all revolve around some teenage kids' gay inside joke.
It's not brutal, it's not funny. It's fucking stupid.

I just hate this shit. Gay shit like this is what gets "popular" too. This is the shit all my friends hear about it and when I tell people that I'm in a grindcore band they either assume it's a joke like this, or some artsy bullshit.

IMO one of the shittiest things about metal is that every other kid who enjoys the music decides he needs to get a band together and contribute, and frankly at least 9 out of 10 of these "contributions" do nothing except water down someone elses good idea

I guess it's also metal's strength but damn it's so easy to get burned out on all the mediocre bands

Yeah, I'll give them credit for wasting everyones time including their own with a shitty wannabe band. Not everyone can be a pioneer, not everyone should be in a band. This rant isn't directed at this band, I didn't even listen to them, just reading the responses got me going.

I agree with you CTB. perhaps it's the mistakes or projects that make musicians. You have to start somewhere. I do get burned out on all the mediocre bands. But I'm surprised at the potential of kids I've said "you're how old?" to.

There's a kid I know who's guitarist is in 7th grade and he could blow away the guys in my band. So, there is potential out there somewhere they just need to come out and be confident in their abilities.
