DARK TRANQUILLITY triumphantly returns with Fiction, a scorching effort that will undoubtedly add an exhilarating new chapter to the genre’s storied history. They hold the esteemed distinction as being one of the bands responsible for founding an entirely new genre of death metal in the early '90s, which came to be known as "The Gothenburg Sound." With Fiction, they revitalize the genre they helped to create and further cement their status as one of the scene’s most influential metal bands. Be sure to visit www.darktranquillity.com to check out the blistering new track “Focus Shift.?

On Thursday, March 8th vocalist Mikael Stanne and guitarist Martin Henriksson will be answering fan’s questions during a two-hour online stream starting at 12PM EST. During the stream www.centurymedia.de/dt_interview the band will also premier the new “Focus Shift? video clip, as well as play some clips by other Century Media artists. You don’t want to miss this special event.

Send your questions to dark_questions@centurymedia.de and the best ones will be answered by the band on the abovementioned date.

Niklas Sundin (guitars) further describes his thoughts on the new album: “Tue Madsen did a fantastic job with the sound, and the result is diverse and exciting enough to satisfy even the most critical of listeners. The 10 songs are extremely varied and showcase all facets of the D.T. experience while breaking new ground as well as reviving some elements that haven't been featured in D.T. songs since the early years.?

This month, DARK TRANQUILLITY kicks off their touring cycle for Fiction with a massive Metal For The Masses U.S. co-headlining run with The Haunted and Into Eternity, revitalizing the genre they helped to create and further cementing their status as one of the scene’s most influential metal bands.

Look for Fiction in stores on April 24th and see below for the complete Metal For The Masses tour itinerary.

sweet, I love DT (minus Projector and Haven) Character was a great album (I don't care what anyone says) and I hope this new album is on par with Character (I know we'll never get another 'The Gallery', so I'll hope for the next best thing)
