my drummer saw the show last night in Minneapolis - said Watain was absolutely devastating, even though they only played a half hour set. Nachtmystium was great, of course and for some reason, Angelcorpse didn't play. can't wait for sunday. and monday.

I'd heard about Watain throwing pigs blood on the crowd at their shows, but man, I did not expect them to dump nearly a full cup of blood on my face as they were walking on stage. I smelled so terrible.

This show was fucking amazing,I don't think I ever stopped thrashing,from Nachtmystium on. I especially enjoyed Angel corpse,Its been so long,they are still fuckin brutal as ever. I never saw Watain live before,it was a pleasure. Appreciated the Dissection cover.

Metal freaks in costumes and face pain=extreme gayidity. I heard you guys all rub eachothers backs while watching this crap live. That is wikked gay. I vote for a mass suicide. Hey dave. When you listen to this crap at home do you put on costumes and makeup and rub your dogs stomach. I can only imagine the look of horror on your moms face as she walks in on that.

I have a vague memory of actually being in this show, being pushed over, getting back up, and being thrown out of the club. The Middle East is soo not worth 20 dollars.Especially upstairs

Great fucking show, so much fun. Angelcorpse fucking slayed, although i thought the sound was a little off. They have sounded better before. "black solstice" was the standout for me.

CNV rocked the house, sounded amazing.

Watain were an awesome set. Near the restrooms had an aweful smell, watain did give off an odor due to the pigs heads. It was the most foulest thing i ever smelled in my life. And beleive me i've stunk up plenty of bathrooms

man, last night was awesome. unfortunately, i missed witch tomb and cnv, but i had a great time watching the rest of the bands and seeing some friends at the show. i don't know if i've ever smelled anything worse than watain. thanks to larissa and her roomates for letting everyone party at their place afterwards. it was a fun time.

curious what time the nyc show ended. i almost went for free, but the lack of rest would have kept me from enjoying heaven and hell tonight. and i can't have that.

The nyc show ended at 3 in the fucking morning!! I have no idea why the first band went on at 11, especially when BB Kings shows usually start at 6. Also, they switched the line-up and Angelcorpse went on before Watain. They probably said "Fuck that, we're not going on at 2 am!" The sound was especially muddy at BB Kings for the first 3 bands, but got better for Watain.

I'm tired.

I think angelcorpse has been playing the whole tour second to headlining.

Witch Tomb: they were rude crude and covered in ashs. Even their bible was dirty. It sounded awesome from the floor. It was cool to see smails come up with you on stage and CD. I thought there would be a few more noises, but the songs were all longer than anything on the CD. Heck, their set was as long as the CD twice over.

Northern: CNV play a bunch of songs that had a touch of enslaved in them. Most impressed. They were able to make the older tracks sound that much more viking. I had to run outside after my favorite CNV song, a past forgotten.

nachtmystium: when their set begain, I thought "FOOLS!" no one seemed to care about them playing and I thought it was awesome. At about the 1/2 way point, I seemed like everyone realize that you didn't just have to stand there with a sour look on your face and they got into it. This band is jumping up in the world quickly. Funny when such a good band gets big.

The sound for CNV i thought was the best. Best time i have seen them play, and the song in which i never saw them rehearse sounded great as well.

angelcorpse: when they started up, I was expecting to look up and see watain., but I heard the perfect english and the killer un-ending blast beat from hell. I knew right then I would look up and see angelcorpse. They were almost show stealng (if watain hadn't gone so over the top). The drummer (who looked like the kid that mowes their lawn or something) was as relentless as their songs. He just straight blasted. The beats never faultered and never folder over/into each other.

watain: after a really long set up time, they came out, poured what I thought was beer on the crowd but from my pictures was a red blood like substance. Mostlikely, it was blood. I sort of hope it was pigs blood since I know a jewish dude that got some on him. Their set was exactly oppositely awesome as it smelt. The club smelt like rotting fish that was rotting through some dead and charred iraqi's soldier's stomach, baking in the hawt desert sun. I didn't get the cover. I prpbably didn't even hear it. That place was so packed that I gave up trying to get to the stage. Shooting pictures in a place that is that packed is hard. Everything about their set ruled besides the smell. They sort of had a whole procession leading them up to the stage. But after a few songs, I had to wiggle my way out with my bag on my head to get out and pick carina up at south station before she was approached by some johns.
