I'm gonna be needing a new double pedal within the next 3-6 months
I have an Iron Cobra Power Glidge thats been fine up until lately. I'm heavy footed and the thing just cant take it anymore. I've had it for almost 3 years and its time for something new. I'm looking at either a DW 5000 or a Pearl Eliminator. I know the 5000's are the balls but the Eliminator is cheap. And NO, i dont want a 9000 or fuckin pussy ass Axis pedals, br0.
Suggestions???

dw 7000 $199 !!!! plays like the 5000's just cheaper.

toggletoggle post by mOe  at Mar 2,2007 4:17pm
they most certainly do not play like the 5000's
and the adjustability is shit

Murph has a 5000 I believe. I remember not liking it because it wasn't as responsive as I like, but I only played it briefly and dind't adjust it or anything.

If I were you, I would look into maybe a janus pedal. before I sold my export, I had a janus and it was amazing. adjustable, build like a tank, and played liek butter.

I've had problems with my old eliminater single, and the drummer from pull the trigger had an eliminator that was a huge pain to adjust to get an equal master/slave pedal feel.

However, the current drummer from the body farm has an eliminator and he swears by it. He can't play another pedal after using his.

He is black though, I know you might not want the same pedal as one of his kind moe.

I play a 9000, you queer.

And to anyone that knocks this pedal, please. It has the smoothest feel and most precise adjustability of any pedal I've played. The only thing I'd get over it would be a custom-made pedal, and until I can play drums well, that ain't gonna happen.

Pearl pedals aren't bad, but the cams just arent as fluid as the DW. And that goofy footplate on the pedal annoyed both my foot and eyes.

DW pedals are made for drummers, period

my DW kit came with a 9000 series single pedal (I got the upgraded hardware package) and I loved it.

I didn't realize it was the same as your pedal Murph. I must have just not liked the settings on yours, I remember the beaters being really loose and fluid and it made my inconsistant double bass skills stand out more haha.

My bass pedal settings are really weird.

I think it's my tiny calves.

I think I'll reference the Bucket of Truth on all of this.

well, my quarry is the footplate issue...if they break as much as that article lets on then no thanks
ya gotta remember, i'm a bigger dude than you murph...my foot packs some FIAH

yeah, I love their sound, I'm just afraid I'd go down, try out and then come all the way home with my tail between my legs.

Fuckin Georgia.

I just replaced my DW5000 double pedal with a 9000. The 5000 lasted me 10 years. They hold up real good.

toggletoggle post by mOe  at Mar 2,2007 7:05pm
hey, do what i say and i-m me

toggletoggle post by atthehaunted  at Mar 2,2007 9:14pm
I play a pearl eliminator and it's not bad but not the best. Not that expensive from what I remember but I bought it a long time ago they may have come along way since then. I can play fast with it and that's what I care ABOOT. Sorry had to put in the canadian accent.

double pedals are for the week player, why not double bass drums. To scared to tune them or lug them around!

toggletoggle post by atthehaunted  at Mar 2,2007 9:18pm
THEY MIGHT BE TOO MUCH MONEY FART KNOCKER

toggletoggle post by Niccolai   at Mar 2,2007 9:37pm
and they definately aren't worth tuning, lugging around, and can be very intrusive to the drumkit setup.

And I consider myself both a week and week-end player.

I fart in your general direction.

I can't fit my shit on drum risers now with a single kick drum. I'd have to be retarded to want two.

Living proof that no matter how valid the argument, a lack of focus on grammar and word usage = fucking idiot.

P.S. My sack isn't big enough for two bass drums

He's lieing.

double bassdrums are a waste... they might look impressive but it makes only slightly more sense than having a snare drum for each hand.

I've never heard someone make that comparison. Well done, my friend. You and your cerebral band = too much thinking. You dudes need more drugs and less books.

SINGLE SANARE DRUMS ARE FOR THE WEEK PLAYER, WHY NOT TWO SNARE DRUSM. TO SCARED TO TOON THEM AND LUG THEM AROUNND! PUSSIESS
