*shocked*...another NH Booking show with the same opening bands. Seems like they always book the same 5 fucking "local" bands.

toggletoggle post by codydelongdotnet  at Apr 3,2007 10:58pm
actually and then came the waves is from CT and we have only booked them once before. And we haven't had The Jonah Veil on a show in over 2 months. So NO WE DONT BOOK THE SAME BANDS!!!!! Maybe because you band isn't on the show is why your bitching.

i agree that while it seems that nhbookings books the same local bands at alot of their shows, they do give these bands a very good opertunity to play with some of the "bigger" bands in todays on growing scene. Which i think is very good. not only for the bands, but to show that nh booking also cares about the local scene and getting those bands exposed to a bigger audience.
kudos to nh bookings for that.

ok, I lost all my reviews again. Fuck you phone. Here's the notes.

And Then Came The Wave: sounded like TAS minus the BYD sound. Long pauses after their songs ended before clapping. Not moshin'

jonah veil, the: sounded like misery signals. People started moshing and singing.

Always & Forever: they had girls setting up their equipment for them. Mucho mosho. New singer and I think the last song started with "i shop at B&H photo video [dot com]" and the sing along was "i have my bake sale"

ligeia: sounded so much better than at the legion hall. Mostly cause they weren't interrupted and got to play with out most of the people leaving. People were up front for their whole set. Very fun dodging skinny dudes who are getting into the music. I could tell that keith was purposefully holding the mic and people back from his face so I wouldn't get another make-out shot. Whatever the deal was, I kept clipping peoples in the eyes with my flash hand. Sorry. During their last song, they paused to get vincent (TAS) out to do the last 5 seconds and the PA crapped out. Evryone in the crowd screamed along to make up for it. Right now, they are scrambling around trying to fix it.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 7,2007 11:04pm

oh, could someone please tell me why would someone er.. more than one somes get a diamond tattoo behind their ear? I can understand if it was a tattoo of other sorts of diamonds... let me edit the pictures so that it shows some diamonds that I wouldn't mind having tattoo'd to the back of my ear.

toggletoggle post by aaron_michael  at Apr 8,2007 10:13am
fun show. drinking before I got there and marshing, not a good combination while wearing a sweater

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 8,2007 11:02am
it was a pretty swell sweater. I thought y0u were were dressed as a serious actor.

toggletoggle post by flbjk at Apr 8,2007 11:13am
I thought the acacia strain was a mosh band...? Why does every picture have kids singing along like they're a hardcore band with sing alongs? To my recollection, they don't have that many sing alongs.

ok....

acacia strain, the: even though it was wicked hot and there was no ventilation, they didn't stop at all. Well... I guess they stopped once, but for the rest of the set, it was non stop. On their days off, they must run marathons. The set started off like ligeia ended with a complete lack of functioning microphones. After they got the mics working, the cut out a few times. Everyone was up front "singing along" or what ever, butbehind them was the second string of moshers. I was thoroughly glad the from row was there because I couold get better shots. In the end, as people slowly encroached on the band, security dudes ran out to protact the drum set, etc... it was pretty funny to watch. All in all, it was an awesome set. I'm still in awe oftheir stamina.
