You know, I really try not to pay too much attention to the hype that any band gets. The best method I have of rating is whether it goes back in my cd player. Sometimes that is a down side, because it does take a little time for some things to grow on me, and after months of having a cd sitting under the seat of my car I'll realize, hey this is pretty good.
You know, come to think of it, I bought a Neurosis cd off of you at Lupos back in 2000. I believe it was Enemy of the Sun. Memories....

I can't get by the vocals in Neurosis. They're just awful. I do occasionally throw on A Sun That Never Sets, though.

I've always loved neurosis. i remember disliking the vocals the first few times i heard a sun that never sets because that's when they stopped full on screaming. but honestly, that's the best recorded album I have ever heard. Listening to that album tripping balls changed my life. The DVD for that album is simply amazing too. There are a ton of hidden elements in the eye of the storm that you only really catch while on psychodelics.

Neurosis is one of my top 5 bands of all time. Most of you who don't like them like queer melodic bands from Europe, so your opinions are obviously stupid and wrong.
