Skeleton professor tanks

skeleton proof tanks: some of the parts were sort of like all shall perish. The singer moved around at the beginning a lot like the singer of all shall perish. Their songs were eclectic and had some 2-stepping drums, distorted bass solos, and in the end, they had long breakdown song. A few people dancing for them and everyone else just struck a pose.

bed of arms: from NY, this was the singer stage right's last show before heading to CZ. My favorite part of the set was when the singer (stage left) learned karate and waxed on/waxed off a bunch. This was a simpler time where the really cool dude in the band was the one with tight black pants. In the end, his mentor and him both found their true love in Okenowa. I'm pretty sure he had to fight the guitarplayer (stage left) in a battle to the death, but instead of killing the guitar player, he just honked his nose. Forcing him to a lifetime of servatude in this band. The only down note was 10 years later, he got replaced by a girl, but no one watched that movie anyhow. Straight to video. They sounded a little like everytime I die or daughters at some point and then other times the_network. The intro was a emphemeral, jangly space-rock part. Sounded nice. reminded me of my gift to liars (ION). Instead of climbing on things, the members kept jumping off the stage into the crowd. Yes, there was quite a crowd for them. The were super high energy and put on a really great set. I'm sure they would do awesome at drifters.

death among theives: the bass player looks like Nash (he's wearing a porphyria shirt every time I see him). It wouldn't surprise me. How many bands has he been in now? (upon asking other people, they said it wasn't him). after a pretty damn long set up time, they got going. They had some samples that intro'd/outro'd their songs. All instrumental stuff. Some where between byzantine and dysrhythmia. Sounded really good and heavy. now, I just can't remember if I'm suppose to book them or not.

brethren, the: I'm guessing that josh got the final ingredient for his potion to become nate johnson. Some thing isn't quite right yet. Something he's missing... I'm guessing it's a butt dread. It's gotta be. If he had gotten the potion right, the sun glasses would have been aviators and he could have worn the flannel for the whole set. But they played music too. The second song sounded a lot like forever (as I lay dying) and they mixed a lot of things into each of their songs including a back in black cover-let.

This was one of my favorite Brickhouse shows. There was a great crowd and a large one at that too. The Brethren was my favorite performance of the night.

brethren kicked ass as always, and got a great reception, especially when they played Back In Black. Bed Of Arms were great too. The crowd loved their energy.

They played that after being inspired by my shirt. I was wearing an AC/DC Back In Black t-shirt. John and Ricky saw me and were like, "Hey, we want you to yell 'Back In Black" a little bit into our set." I actually forgot to but they played it anyway. I ended up going on stage for a few seconds and popped my colla', yo.

secada: http://www.whatsthatbug.com/cicadas.html thinking of the bugs, I was expecting this band to be something completely different. ok , the beginning of their set was sloppy. Especially the drumming. Same with a song further into their set. A few of the songs in the middle sounded like ion dissonance. Those where the better ones.

oops.. I found that in my phone.

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Jan 18,2007 12:07pm
of coures it was sloppy
kevin burr is probably the worst drummer ever
and the rest of them can't play their instruments worth shit
if as i lay dying could sound any worse than they already do, then they would sound like secada

toggletoggle post by keebinmonster   at Jan 27,2007 3:07pm
It was actually sloppy cause the first song was a cover (a horrible cover song at that, it was complete joke and nothin else) and our first song ever made was in the middle of our set (which we would have kicked out of the set but we had time to fuck around so why not play it). Maybe you should stop being anonymous and man up. This is probably just josh holmes. Keep your comments to yourself, youre nothing to everyone that matters.
