i'm guessing the derby area; i'm not too familiar with what towns are around there. i just have to make sure i find a somewhat centralized town so i can easily go all around the state for my new job.

Every time I've driven on that stretch of I-91 between New Haven and Hartford, I've been passed by everyone while doing 85 and given the occasional dirty look.

stay out of the north end of vernon. its a fuckin slum. parts of enfield arent bad if you wanna live on the MA border. you'll be about a 20 min drive from me

thanks for the advice. enfield would probably be too far north for the driving i'm going to have to do. the previous manager whose place i'm taking told me that if i find a place between waterbury (i think) and derby i'll be in the right location for work purposes.

between Waterbury and Derby? then you want to go south of where Ryan and I are.

route 8 is the main route i'll be taking for most of the locations i have to work at, if that narrows it down more.

i must say, connecticut is waaay fucking cheaper to live in than massachusetts. thank christ.

no probs. it really is awesome here. central location right off rt 15 and 91. the 84 connector is 5 mins to the north in meriden. the fact that there's been some pretty fucking awesome shows at the american legion in town and at cherry st will likely ease the pain of becoming whatever you'd call the CT equivalent of a Masshole

i work for a merchandising company that deals with live goods (aka plants). the plants are supplied by kurtz farms of cheshire, ct, and sent to pretty much 90% of new england's home depots.

so, i have to hire enough people to cover all the stores in CT that kurtz farms has product in, as well as one store in brewster, NY and i believe one in RI, and make sure they're all doing their jobs right.

during the busy season (mid-april to the end of june) i'll have to do a shitload of the work myself, but i'm on salary w/ full benefits, company car (don't have to pay for gas/maintanence), company computer w/ wireless internet that i can also use for my computer, company phone, and a humungous bonus. i am also the art director for the company.

and to top it off, i have an illustration business to run on the side (hopefully full-time soon), which is going to suck, but now i don't have to take any shitty jobs or jobs from bands that have no money. thank fucking christ.
