you ever try taking pictures of lightning? I just remembered that I tried last year with my old s100. I had a lot of fun doing this, all through a non open window too.

wow the first one is really cool because of:

1. the lightning
2. the rainbow
3. the fact that the picture was taken over the ghetto

I haven't had any real chances since all the storms I've "seen" have been while I'm at work.
I would love to try though.
