I know not many people here like Coheed, but Chris Pennie is a phenomenal drummer and their new album should be incredible.

i am not excited about this. thats quite an awesome rhythm section they're losing.

one can only hope the rest of the band will quit next. OOOOOHHHHH!!!!! suck it murph!

Mike is a great drummer. Coheed blows goats and has nothing on rush, and I dislike both of those bands. I guess people are going to think they are a metal band now.

I think Chris Pennie will bring way less metal to the picture. Watching his clinics, the guy is an encyclopedia of styles and I think he'll allow Coheed to delve into a lot of the more avant garde stuff they hint at on some tracks.

chris pennie is going to blend in so well with coheed. coheed sucks my nuts, but pennie is probably the most well versed and consistent drummer in metal. no one is exempt from that statement. however, now that he's officially not playing with dillinger anymore, i could give a fuck less about those assholes. good players, interesting ideas, but the drummer made that band.

hopefully they put out a good album now...that last one was god awful

Pennie worked so well in DEP, and I loved most of Miss Machine.

The next coheed album will be amazing, regardless, but I hope they still keep their pop sensibility.
