It was all over the news this morning... some facory exploded. A bunch of homes were destroyed/fucked up. Nobody died.

woah, a home blew up near me in NY last summer from one of those huge external propane tanks. it looked just about the same as that. pretty wild what flammable stuff under pressure can do.

Tomcat is a java server pages and java servlet server. there is no such thing as a java applet server. I guess any http server could be considered to serve applets..

not that I built a system for my company on Tomcat... but
Tomcat > Jakarta!! and better than websphere. free is so good.

I live in Danvers, like a half a mile from where this happened. My band's jam room is practically on the same street and I was terrified all day today that our room was destroyed along with all of our equipment. It was just far enough away that it was fine. About a year ago my friend and I looked at an apartment across the street from the factory. We would've been fucked bad.

My band shares a space with his band^ we had practice yesterday, and i was afraid my stack was going to be toppled over on his kit. i would have felt bad. nothing happened to our gear though. that's the end of my story, but yeah....fucked up

My aunt works right near there. I was scared shitless when I heard about it. Lucky it was at 3 AM or something.
