Swedish titans THE HAUNTED make their triumphant return to the U.S. this week on the Blackest of The Black tour with Danzig, labelmates Lacuna Coil, Belphegor and Asesino. Their complete fall touring itinerary is below.

THE HAUNTED have returned a dynamic new offering, The Dead Eye, which sees the band effectively combine elements of their previous efforts while exploring new ideas to continuously challenge themselves. The album had a strong first week at retail landing at #18 on the New Artist chart, #42 on Hard Music, #38 on the Independent Albums chart, #18 on Heatseekers (overall), #9 on Heatseekers Middle Atlantic and #6 on Heatseekers Northeast.

The highly anticipated new effort was recorded in Denmark at Antfarm Studios with renowned producer Tue Madsen (Himsa, Sick Of It All) and looks to be their most accomplished work yet. The group recently shot a new video for “The Flood” with renowned director Roger Johansson (Arch Enemy, In Flames), and it is definitely a clip that stands out from the pack. A special collector’s edition of The Dead Eye is also available, featuring two bonus tracks (“The Highwire” and “The Program”), a bonus DVD with the “Making of The Dead Eye,” music videos for “All Against All” and No Compromise” and two live audio versions of “99” and “Abysmal.” The videos and live tracks are all from rEVOLVEr, the band’s 2004 album.
