If the cop spells your name wrong on the ticket, although it is a very minor spelling error and any judge would know it was meant to be me, could I get away with not paying the ticket?

The spelling error was "Justine" instead of "Justin" and the offense was an expired inspection sticker.

Any ideas?

i had an 84 camaro once, got written up for an 84 firebird, basically the same car, i got it tossed out of court.

i was told once before by a cop friend of mine, even if its the smallest detail, it can be tossed out.

So would you recomend that I contest it or just forget about it?

get the sticker replaced, then go to court and bring the reciept, and try and get them to drop it, saying you already fixed it. as long as the judge isnt in a shitty mood, they'll prolly drop it
