So that guy I always complain about... he pulled off another classic move last night.

There are 3 different techs with 3 main shifts at my work. 8:00 - 4:30, 10:30 - 7:00, and 1:00 - 9:30. The 1-9 guy left a week ago, so the 2nd shift (big fat idiot) has been working the late shift, and has been complaining about it non-stop.

So yesterday at 3:30, as I'm preparing to go home he comes rushing in all flustered yelling "I GOTTA GO HOME I GOTTA GO HOME... IM JUST NOT FEELING GOOD". Fine. Great. "THEY WANT ME TO GOTO THE EMERGENCY ROOM.... I GOTTA GOTO THE ONE BY MY HOUSE THOUGH". Fine. Later. There's a hospital a couple hundred feet from our office. He lives in Salem, and it takes him an hour to get there. I have no idea who "they" is supposed to be. I ended up covering his shift which for me spanned 13 hours (whatever).

Nobody has heard from this guy since. About a half hour ago we got a fax from a doctor. It says "____ is a patient of mine. He came to see me yesterday. He cannot return to work until October 16." End of message.

So guess who's responsibility it is to cover for this guy til then....... if you said Joe Christianni, you're wrong.

Apparently not. This dude is just so hard and grizzled that nothing effects him. He works 14 hours a day at the rock quarry cracking boulders with his bare hands for 4 dollars an hour, and no benefits. He then walks home 10 miles uphill, takes a 5 minute cold shower, and then goes to his night job at the refinery.
