Groundbreaking musician and renowned producer Steve Austin proudly
announces the launch of his own label, SuperNova Records.

Hailed since the mid-90's as an icon of extreme individuality, Austin
now takes one further step toward total independence with the launch
of his own label, SuperNova Records.

As a musician, Austin is best known as the visionary force behind
Today Is The Day, one of the most unique and influential bands of the
past fifteen years, whose hellbent marriage of metal, noise,
psychedelia, and rock has won worldwide acclaim. With albums released
through legendary indie labels Amphetamine Reptile and Relapse, and
with world-class musicians like Brann Dailor (Mastodon), Bill Kelliher
(Mastodon), and Marshall Kilpatrick (The Esoteric) passing through its
ranks, Today Is The Day reigns as one of the most important bands in
the history of extreme music.

As a producer, Austin has collaborated with some of the biggest names
in metal and hardcore; for over a decade, he has worked from his own
studio, Austin Enterprise, to help create landmark albums with such
artists as Lamb Of God, Converge, and Deadguy. Recent clients include
Jello Biafra and Germs (member of La Coka Nostra, with members of Limp
Bizkit and House Of Pain).

Now, Austin expands his empire with the launch of his own label,
SuperNova Records.

Austin intends SuperNova Records to be a home for both his own musical
endeavors and for some of the best new bands in the underground.
Today Is The Day will release its eight studio album, "Axis Of Eden",
through SuperNova Records in 2007. Some of the other SuperNova
Records releases planned for 2007 include: a reissue of Today Is The
Day's seminal 1994 album, "Willpower"; two Today Is The Day DVD's
featuring rare live performances from the band's formative years; and
new albums by Boston hardcore punks Defcon 4, Nashville rockers
Christine, Jersey thrashers Diesel Theory, Portland doom outfit
Roanoke, Italian noise-core unit Orange Man Theory, and Today Is The
Day side
project Taipan.

The SuperNova name dates back to the earliest days of Today Is The Day
-- SuperNova was the label Austin created to release the first Today
Is The Day demo, "How To Win Friends And Influence People", which
would earn the band its deal with Amphetamine Reptile. The label lay
dormant ever since, until this year when Austin resolved to launch
SuperNova Records, full force.

SuperNova Records will be run out of Austin's new home of Nashville,
Tennessee. A native of Tennessee, Austin has spent the last decade in
Massachusetts and is currently in the process of relocating his entire
operation -- label, recording studio, band, family -- back to his home
state.

Yes, but they had to change the band name to Rockstar Supernova because a Cali band with the name Supernova sued them. The producers of the show couldn't afford Google.
