SUFFOCATION’s new full-length album, Suffocation, is available in its entirety for online listening courtesy of AOL Music’s ‘Full CD Listening Party’ presented by Best Buy. Click here to listen: http://music.aol.com/songs/new_releases_fu...ultTab=16&ncid=AOLMUS00050000000014

Cited as “American death metal's most consistent and punishing standard-bearers" (Blabbermouth.net) and that “Without SUFFOCATION, there’d be no Black Dahlia Murder, no As I Lay Dying, and no Between the Buried and Me.” (Decibel Magazine), Suffocation furthers the band’s legacy with the trademark speed, surgical precision, crushing brutality, and inhuman, genre-defining vocals that have made them the most influential band in death metal.

This online listening party coincides with Suffocation’s North American release date tomorrow, Tuesday September 19th (an international release will follow on September 25th). The band will also be making an in-store signing appearance at Loony Tunes Records in West Babylon, NY. Full details for the signing can be found below. An e-card previewing Suffocation, featuring the tracks ‘Abomination Reborn’ and ‘Blind Torture Kill’, can be viewed at this location: http://www.relapse.com/ecards/suffocation/

Additionally, SUFFOCATION will undertake an extended fall tour of North America with FEAR FACTORY, HYPOCRISY, and DECAPITATED starting October 26th at The Pound in San Francisco. A complete listing of SUFFOCATION tour dates and appearances can be found in the tour section.

i picked this up yesterday. i've only listened to it once, but so far it's probably the least memorable and weakest album they've ever put out. i still like it, but it could be better. i'll see what happens after a few more listens.
