Dreaded Silence - http://www.myspace.com/dreadedsilence
A Cold Reality - http://www.myspace.com/acr

Obviously there's a ton of metal shows going on that night, but this should be a fun time regardless.

Don't think I'll be making this one, I have tentative plans.

toggletoggle post by |an at Sep 8,2006 12:33pm
First Polaris gig with the new lineup
I promise you won't be dissappointed Ken

toggletoggle post by sinistas   at Sep 8,2006 12:39pm
I'm sure he won't, he's been dying to see it.

toggletoggle post by |an at Sep 8,2006 12:50pm
I can only say the songs are reworked for 2 guitars and sound so much thicker with that plus Chris on drums... I can't wait to go live with it

Hey let me know if you're making a flyer, I can give you the logo, and also The Skybar is right near me so I can flyer Davis, Inman and Porter (btw it's 518 somerville ave not 158)

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Sep 8,2006 12:59pm
this is going to be killer. i'm looking forward to seeing polaris with ian and chris.

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Sep 8,2006 1:00pm
What is Troll like? Are they short with hair on their toes?

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Sep 8,2006 1:03pm
i hope so. we didn't book them on this, so we aren't sure what they are like.

toggletoggle post by |an at Sep 8,2006 1:11pm
I saw Troll at the skybar once
go find their myspace, it explains it all

also there was a thread here awhile circa december '05 about a skybar show they were booked on, people were ripping on them pretty hard (I think the mullets were more than ample fodder)
see if you can find that thread Rich

toggletoggle post by |an at Sep 8,2006 1:11pm
But I thought they played well

toggletoggle post by sinistas   at Sep 8,2006 1:17pm
yeah, they kind of booked themselves somehow. *shrug*

thanks for noticing the typo, lol. I need to not post threads so early.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Sep 8,2006 3:54pm
bumpage

toggletoggle post by sinistas   at Sep 10,2006 8:54am
Bump.

toggletoggle post by pam   at Sep 10,2006 12:19pm
Almost every bar and club I dealt with in regards to booking would throw a band into the lineup without asking. I'd usually find out the night of the show when some random dudes were loading in.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Sep 10,2006 1:35pm
eh, it happens. hopefully troll will deliver a good live show.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Sep 12,2006 1:16pm
bumps for the mumps

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Sep 18,2006 11:23pm
who's coming?

toggletoggle post by Aegathis  at Sep 19,2006 1:28am
D day, Dreaded silence versus Decapitated hmmm, Ken I love ya but the lemmy is gone!

toggletoggle post by theaccurseddrummer nli at Sep 19,2006 3:36am
Seems I've got no choice but to be there, since I'm playing, but it SUCKS that I have to miss Decapitated. Shit. Fuck. God damn it. Ah well, playing will make it worthwhile.

toggletoggle post by pam   at Sep 19,2006 8:15am edited Sep 19,2006 8:15am
Decapitated is playing again the 11th of November. I'm just gonna go to that because I will most likely be attending the church of Beakey instead of shows this night.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Sep 19,2006 9:39am
religion is for suckers

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Sep 19,2006 9:43am
I will kill you for besmirching the good name of our lord and savior Dan Beakey.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Sep 19,2006 9:46am
i belong to his church, but i am a lazy sinner in love with rock n roll.

toggletoggle post by theaccurseddrummer nli at Sep 19,2006 10:28am
I subscribe to the church of vagina... (sorry Pam, I mean VULVA, my anatomy scores weren't fucking great...) So the church of anything else is meaningless to me.

Come see Polaris anyway, you fucking live there Rich, there's no excuse.

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Sep 19,2006 10:31am
You don't love Beakey, so now I hate you.

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Sep 19,2006 10:32am
I don't have a show that day, so I probably will. Even though all the bands suck and I hope you all die in a horrific plane crash.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Sep 19,2006 10:34am
that's rich's way of saying he loves us. having a girlfriend has really softened him up.

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Sep 19,2006 10:37am
It's true. Now when I see a puppy I only stab it.

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Sep 19,2006 10:37am
JK! I still fuck it.

'fraid I'm not familiar with the whole Beakey phenomenon, sorry. I'm sure he's a swell character.

You ought to come drinking with me in the church of Beakey that night instead.

I definitely have no idea what you're talking about.

toggletoggle post by pam   at Sep 20,2006 7:51pm

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Oct 3,2006 1:33pm
this show is going to rule. i believe the order of bands is going to be, from opening to closing: troll, a cold reality, polaris, dreaded silence.

As a bonus, I don't blast beat once through the entire set!!!

People in Bands that are attending tonight, bring your press kits/demos - I'm looking for some new talent (I'll be the one working the door and hoping people play the "Buy The Promoter Drinks" game LOL!!!

nice show

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 8,2006 11:54am
how as polaris? I really wanted to see them.
my only complaint with the skybar is the small fact that the lighting there never changes and it's just all warm colors. besides that, it's a great place

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Oct 8,2006 12:01pm
Dreaded Silence had a meeting with a stylist, I believe. On Friday they looked way more 'metal', complete with facial hair and leather jackets and metal studs.

toggletoggle post by Aegathis  at Oct 8,2006 12:02pm
Polair as awsome! lol! I think more people came for them to this show from what I hear.

toggletoggle post by pam in quincy at Oct 8,2006 12:07pm
Aaron, they're playing the skybar again in November I think. I heard everyone was awesome last night, sorry I couldn't be there...I wish I saw Loki bodyslam Gerg into a car.

he was trying to have sex with him

toggletoggle post by sinistas   at Oct 8,2006 12:11pm
Last night kicked ass. The bands all rocked, and I got lots of free beer from a friend of mine.

You will. The incedent was caught on video, and it WILL be posted on YouTube and then linked here as soon as possible.

Chris, I didn't get a chance to tell you, but your drumming for Polaris is both tasty AND interesting. Kudos or sommat.

Thanks dude, it's a total departure from what I do with The Accursed and STR, which is pretty much why I'm doing it. I get to actually dip into my prog & jazz roots with this stuff. Either way, I appreciate it.

All the bands kicked ass last night. Troll... fucking TROLL!!! I seriously had no idea what to think, but when I heard them, only one thing came to mind. Rock. Mother-fucking Rock and Roll. ACR was cool, they rocked out with the metallic mosh, and I believe that I heard some tasty Death riffs being played during their setup. Polaris, well, we had a great show, and a great time, so it was fun all around. DS = awesome, and they played Crystal Mountain. You rule. Thanks to everyone who came out, to all the bands, to the SkyBar, and above all, to all of my friends who came up to see our debut.

toggletoggle post by Aegathis  at Oct 8,2006 2:34pm
i wish i was a drummer so i could get asked to join a bunch a different bands

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Oct 8,2006 4:25pm
i had a good time last night. drank too much, but that's alright. the bands were awesome, turnout was awesome, and it was great to talk to everyone throughout the night.
